No Blog yesterday

I was waiting for Alan to Skype and I didn't want to be in the middle of the blog. But instead Alan called this morning to Skype. We are getting things together for this summer vacation. This morning we got rain again and the weather turned out to be cooler. We don't use the heater but I removed one of my blankets and now it is cooler again. The weather seems to be up and down.

Church time

Last night I was unable to sleep so I got up and took a pain pill and still no sleep so today after church and brunch at Denny's I had a good nap and I feel better. I pray I will get some sleep tonight.

Time with Alden's

This morning I did the washing.I received the message from OPM to inter a new password for Dad and myself. So now that is done. This afternoon Alden called that he Josh, McKenna and Andrew are going to come up here, they arrived here at 5:30pm then we went to Soup Plantation. I had a list of some things for them to help me with and we played Shuffle Board. Nice to spend some time with them.

Call OPM

I feel better as I called OPM to order new passwords. It will take several days for this to be done. Also waiting for pentagon results.  Today we had left over chicken from Cost-Co. We moved the Rummy-Q to the sun room as the weather is getting warmer. So I was the winner today.

Up early

Yes I got up at 5:10 am this morning as I wanted to be sure and get the pentagon tour done. So I started at 6:00 am and I kept getting a internet error. Then I finally got it entered for July 24 at 11:00 am. Now I am waiting for a conformation. This afternoon we went to play cards, just Mary, Ethel and myself.

Another day

This morning at 8:30 am I checked for the Pentagon and for July 23 there was only 8 available slots for each time so tomorrow I will get up at 6:00 am which will be 9:00 am on the east coast the time the pentagon opens.and try for July 24.  Tomorrow will be the 90 day before the 24 of July. Just pray that I do it right.

Alan's Easter service

Yes I didn't blog yesterday as I was viewing Alan's Easter message. Today we went to Wal-Mart to shop. After we had lunch I went to clean the front doors then we cleaned the patio with the sweeper that Lovely gave me. It is amazing how dirty it gets. Next was a ice cream cone to pamper us. Tonight on jeopardy James total win so far is over one million, he is amazing.

Easter Sunday

We went to the Easter service which included the orchestra.  The message was "Do I have Faith in Christ". After Church we went to Denny's for brunch, we had waffles, scrambled eggs and bacon.
This afternoon Alden called, he seems to be relaxed that he is going through with
the retirement.

SKYPE

Yes Alan and I were on SKYPE again. We just finished watching the Laurence Welk show when Alan called to skype. It is so great to talk to Alan on skype. I did some crocheting today.

Physical

This morning I went to Cost-Co at 8:00 am to get gas, it was a great time as there was not many cars there yet even it being Easter week end. On my way I realized that there was cold air while I was driving and I discovered the window at the back seat was down, I guess when I took Mary home yesterday she had opened the window. I was really lucky that no one got in the car last night.  Then I went to Scripps for my yearly physical. Then I went down to first floor for my blood test. When I arrived home I had breakfast and my daily medication.

Church

We went to church at 11:00 am for a service which consisted of communion. After the service we went to the patio and they served lamb with all the trimmings, it was very tasty. This afternoon we went to the club for Hand and Foot.

Warm & windy

Today was a warm day and the wind was blowing. Not much activity. But I thank God for everything provided for me. Today was time for reading relaxing and a few games of Rummy-Q.

A slow day

I have not been having as much pain lately which I thank God for and I am able to sleep on my right side also. No more sleeping in my chair in the middle of the night. I did some samples about the pentagon. When the time comes I hope I will be able to get the tour papers. Ethel gave up on Rummy-Q as I was winning.

Mary is back

After Mary fell while exercising and went to emergency she returned for Hand and Foot. I picked her up and took her home and I made sure she would take her time. There was five of us so we had to play individually and amazingly I was the winner.

Palm Sunday

What a beautiful Palm Sunday the service was great, the message was What do you do when God seems far away? Relay on Truth over feeling. We went to the Bible Study class at 10:00 am then we went to "The Panda House" for lunch. Tenor Bob Christiansen sang the beautiful song "The Holy City"

Wash day

This is a beautiful day and it is my turn to wash clothes. Ethel cooked lunch which was fish, sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. For our afternoon snack was Fruit cocktail cake. We also played Rummy-Q and I won. I hope Lovely brings Rummy-Q for our cruise.

Beautiful Day

A great day after reading and doing the daily tasks I went to the kitchen and baked a Fruit Cocktail Cake as I wanted to give some to the neighbors and I gave them the recipe for it.  We had a piece of it also this is our favorite cake. I informed my family that I do not wish to go on excursions when we are on our cruise. I can just relax on the ship and get off the ship and walk around when docked. We called Mary and she is going to stay at her daughters for a couple days but she is doing OK.

Prime Time

Today is the last day for Prime Time for this spring. The entertainment today was Singer Rachel. We all had a hard time understanding her.  The food was bar-b-q sandwich, mashed potatoes and a great green salad, with the ice cream with all the toppings for desert. This afternoon we went to cards, there was only Karol, Ethel and myself. Mary called tonight to inform us that she fell and had to go to emergency. She fell at home while exercising. After I hear that it makes me feel like I need to use the cane more often as I don't want to fall.

Another day

Yes today was spent doing reading of "The Decision" and checking the passages of Jesus time and his  miracles . Also passages of salvation.

Busy day

For breakfast I made eggs on toast as we were out of milk. At 9:30 am we went to the 99 cent store to purchase all kinds of greeting cards. Next we went to Joan's to purchase some 7 inch zippers of different colors to match the scarfs. Yes I am making Christmas presents already. Next we went to Wal-Mart to shop. When we arrived home it was noon so we each had a small pizza for lunch. While watching Jeopardy the TV did a ReBoot and we missed part of the show the person is equal to Ken Jennings, his winnings tonight was in the $130,000.

Yes I skipped a day

Today turned out to be a warm day up to 86 today. We did not go to ceramics but we went to the club early and checked in at the ceramics room. There was a table full of items that someone left for us to choose what we would like. I picked up a few things and Ethel picked some things. At 1:00 pm we played cards, there was five of us so we didn't play partners. But we had a good time. Nice group of ladies.

Relaxing

Not much for today, well we did have rain again today. Not much to say for today.

Here I am

We went to Prime Time and it was a style show from the Resale Shop. They put on a great show but I was sorry that we were too far back to get good pictures. It was a great turn out of twelve tables with six people at a table.plus the models which was at least ten., plus two pastors which walked the models to the stage. The food was great and pastor Mofed gave the devotions. The Church has three resale shops on Poway Road. The proceeds goes to Missions. There was a few items for sale from the Thrift Shop. The pastors wife was a model and she gave Ethel a Easter Bag. My purchase was this pendent.
