Doing paper work

I made oatmeal with raisins and a banana for breakfast. I had to send a message to ASPM as I did not receive my homeowners paperwork for September. For lunch we had left overs from Denny's. Dinner was blueberry yogurt with extra blueberries and 2 fig cookies. I did reading of The Decision from Franklin Graham.

Warm day again

This morning Alan went to play tennis. We had cold cereal for breakfast. We left to go to Wells Fargo then to Wal-Mart to purchase a few things. Kind of funny when I pulled out of Wal-Mart I was behind a truck which had a sign NAVY every turn he made was where I was going and I said to Ethel I wonder if he is going to 7-Oaks and yes he pulled into the condo across the street from us. Well for lunch we had green salad, corn on the cob and chicken strips. Alan went to the pool and when he returned about 5:30 we went to Denny's for Dinner. O and I shaved Alan's back and shoulders before he went to swim. Alan and I went to the Post Office to send a letter to Angel for mission support

Not much today

I had a good night sleep. We had cold cereal for breakfast, for lunch I used all the fresh vegetables 2 eggs and cheese and fried together, it was too much so we ate the left over for our evening meal. We went to play cards, there was five of us. Then we watched the game shows.

Not so hot

Today the weather seems cooler which I like. I did some house cleaning. We had cold cereal for breakfast, chicken pot pie for lunch and Chicken chop suey for dinner. I went to the doctor for a 6:30 appointment to remove the wax in my ears and yes I can hear some better now. I have never had that done. I finished reading Proverbs which was the assignment from the pastor to read a chapter a day this month of Proverbs as there are 31 days and 31 chapters. I am a little ahead as this is day 28..

Alden & Alan here

This morning Alan told me that Alden called and said he is coming this morning and Alan had a appointment to play tennis. Well Alden got here about 9:15 am so we just had some time talking until Alan arrived about 10:30 am. They completed the tasks of cleaning the gutter of the front patio and the heater filter. Also they cleaned the back-up of the sink of my bathroom. At noon we went to Oscars for Mexican food. Then it was time to relax. The guys left around 3:00 pm to gulf and as of now they haven't returned. Alden is going to take the fan that died and see if he can fix it so it is his.

Hot again

Yes in the 90's again.This morning we went to ceramics. We made lunch then Alan drove us to SCRIPPS again for Ethel to have the stitches removed. On our return we stopped at Home Depot then we went to Cost-Co for gas. We rested until 5:00 pm then we went to Soup Plantation.

Hot Sunday

This morning we went to Church then we went to IHOP Ethel and I shared a omelet. Alan had his eggs sunny side up, hash browns, bacon and strawberry pancakes.There was dogie bag of pancakes.
Alan went to play basketball with Daniel. I had a nice long nap. For dinner tonight we had spare ribs, green salad and deviled eggs and cookies for desert. I had some time just talking with Alan. So great to have this time to just talk. The weather was in the 90's real warm.

Wash day

Today is my day to wash clothes. I got up at 6:00 am to start as I knew it was going to be a hot day, I guess it didn't make it to 90 degrees. I was finished with the wash at about 10:00 am. Then I made deviled eggs. Alan was away at Alden's over night then to play tennis with Albert and meet with Karl and Annie at Coronado. We played some Rummy-Q which we have not played for quite a while.

Glad Alan was here.

This morning Alan found out my Facebook got hacked  he was working on my computer.this morning.and now I am going to close and open my facebook so this will not happen I hope. I am glad Alan was here to fix this. Ethel and I went to ceramics while Alan was working on my computer. For lunch we had chicken strips, sweet potatoes and a green salad. Snack time was one half donut. Tonight was yogurt. There are no game shows tonight as the TV is loaded with games. Alan went to watch Josh play football.

Another day

This morning Ethel and I went to the dermatology doctor and he froze a spot on my right hand and on my upper lip and he wants to see me again on Qct. 3. I had my left over from Mama Cellas for lunch. I had a donut also. Tis afternoon we went to the club for Hand and Foot cards.

Busy day

This morning Alan and I got up early to take the Honda for a recall,.the appointment was for 7:20 then we went to Wal-Mart for a few things. We got home about 10:00 am and then we went to Mama Cellas for lunch, we went next door for donuts. At 2:00 pm we went to pick up the Honda and on our way home we stopped at Cost-Co for a few things. It has been hot today and I didn't enjoy leaving the nice cool house. As you know I am not fond of hot weather.

Ethel's surgery

This morning we left about 9:00 am to take Ethel for her surgery. It was located at Scripps Mem. Hosp. She was finished about 12:00 noon. Then we drove to Poway road to look for a Mexican restaurant. We found Oscar's and it was great, they had the biggest menu ever. The food was great and I know Lovely would like it.

A great day

The only bad part is my left knee is so painful. I put a brace on it and it is feeling better. This morning was ceramics then cards. This evening we went to "Chicken Charlies" for dinner with Mark and wife.
The food was great but it was so noisy that it was hard to have a conversation. Then I invited them over for ice cream cones and we had a great conversation. Also Alan showed us the movie of Isaiah and Abby presenting why you should not support abortion, which was well done.

Here it is Sunday

Yes this morning we went to church and the message was on Proverbs 17 about Righteousness, choose friends wisely. We went to Denny's for brunch. At 4:00 pm we went back to the church to observe the "San Diego Philharmonic Orchestra. It was GREAT.

Wash day

Yes today is wash day and it is Ethel's turn this week. For breakfast I had corn flakes and one half banana and Lovely's coffee. I went through some of my computer things to change since Alan fixed my color print whaich has be off for several years. Lunch was sweet potatoes, chicken strips and green salad. Evening I had yogurt and blueberries and a corn bread muffin. Then there was Bible reading. The weather was great today in the high 70's and low 80's.

Fish tacos

This morning we went to ceramics, clay is still too hard to form the base of my Christmas project so I had to add more water to it. I put the glaze on the house and I finished painting the snow man. When we returned home Alan was on the roof washing it down. We had a green salad and a egg and vegetable patty for lunch. For dinner we had fish tacos but they didn't turn out very good. Next time I want fish tacos I will go to Claim Jumpers.
 

Prime Time

This morning we went to Prime Time and the entertainment was great. The man was great on the keyboard and when he sang his voice was like Frank Sinatra. The lady that sang with him had a great voice also. Their voices blended together very well. The food was was vegetable soup, broccoli Beef, steamed rice and desert. The weather was in the 90's very warm. We went to play "Hand & Foot". Maryanna, Mary, Ethel and myself. Alan went to Alden's to play gulf and he still has not returned, I guess they are having a good time with brother Alden.

Great to have Alan help with shopping

Today was quite warm.  At 5:30 we went to eat at Poway Brigantine the food was good but quite high price. Then we went shopping at Wal-Mart. Yes I sure appreciate to have Alan help with shopping. As it seems like it is a big task to do shopping.

Was unable to Blog yesterday

Alan was using the computer yesterday. Tonight Alan went with Alden to the Padres game. This morning I was busy getting things ready for Alan to take to Alden's. I did reading of Proverbs. For lunch I made spaghetti and meat balls. Alan was teaching me how to watch a DVD which Bryant gave to me while we were in Washington. It is a movie of Howard Hugh's it was about three hours long. Hugh's Air craft on Century Blvd. a couple blocks from LAX. was my first job when I arrived in L.A. Also Bryant worked a couple buildings from where I worked, I worked there in 1955 and Bryant worked there quite a few years later.

Church Day

This morning Alan, Ethel & I went to church, the pastors message was from Proverbs 10 and 11 about being generous and be diligent to have no fear, Fear of the Lord prolongeth days but the years of the wicked shall be short. After church we went to IHOP for lunch. This afternoon Alan went to play basketball with Daniel and Ethel and I played Rummy-Q and reading. This evening we had potato salad, baked beans, chicken strips and fruit moon pies
.

Wash day

Yes I did the washing this morning. Alan went to play tennis with Albert and then he went to Alden's. We played Rummy-Q and I finally won. I made a potatoes salad. For dinner I made poached eggs on toast.This is the type of fan we purchased yesterday.

Things done

This morning we went to ceramics, I had to wrap some clay in plastic and water it down as it was so hard and I wanted to make a base for my Christmas project. When Alan returned from tennis we had sandwiches and banana cupcakes for lunch. This afternoon we went to Home Depot and purchased a fan made in USA. Alan is now assembling it. We went to Claim Jumpers for dinner, Ethel and I shared fish tacos, they were real good, Alan had the salad bar and steak. I Also did reading of Daniel.

Well it seems to cool down a bit. Next week it will be in the 90"s again. We went to play Hand & Foot at the club. This afternoon Alan arrived at about 5:00 pm. I had fixed candied sweet potatoes and broccoli and fish sticks for dinner. Alan got our TV to working. Lovely and family got stranded in Soul Korea as Taipei was closed from a monsoon. Kurtis was to fly directory to Taipei.

The old ladies out of breath

This morning after breakfast we went to Cost Co for gas. Then we went shopping at Cost Co. Well our freezer only had one pot pie and spare ribs. Yes after shopping and putting away everything there is not a inch of space left in the freezer. These two old ladies really got out of breath after everything was put away. May be next time Alden will help us shop.

TV reboot problem

This morning we went for hair cuts had to wait for the operator to show up.  For lunch I made chicken salad sandwiches and left over cooked squash. For evening we had a green salad. This evening after the game shows I started to Re Boot the TV and after the TECHNICOLOR there was no count down on the box and I received NO SIGNAL. So I just turned the TV off and will work on it some other time.

Ceramics & Hand & Foot

This morning for breakfast was a waffle with blueberries and whipped cream. Went to ceramics, I finished painting my Christmas decoration. Next I will make a stand to set it on. For lunch I made Sweet potatoes, squash and chicken.At 1:00 pm we went to the club to play "Hand & Foot" Dinner was a vegetable salad and a banana cup cake. The temperature went up to 89 today.

Hot day

This morning I had a yogurt with my medication then we went to the 8:30 am church service. We went to Denny's and we shared a vegetable  omelet  The temperature went past 90 degrees but inside was very comfortable.I had a nap in the afternoon. I made poached eggs on toast at 2:00 pm and yogurt with blueberries for the evening snack.

Checking cruise portraits

This morning the weather is great in the 60's, we had cold cereal with banana. I did some reading of the decision magazine. Then I checked my portraits from the cruise and I discovered that I did not have a portrait of our group of thirteen. I was checking with Lovely and Gina if they have any and Gina sent me one with the white background so I took a picture of it with my camera but it didn't turn out good enough to have a 8 X 11 made so I am still checking to see what happened to all the group portraits, I would like to have one to put in a frame. This is the two Gina sent me.

Not much today

This morning we went to the club for ceramics, I am working on a Christmas item. It's not my favorite thing for Christmas but it gives me something to do. I found out that they changed the date for painting to Monday and I am already scheduled for Ceramics and Hand and Foot for Mondays.

Start of another month

This morning we had cold cereal and a banana for breakfast. I vacuumed the sun room, living room and my room. When putting away things from the vacation  I found Lovely's Rummy-Q which I put on Alan's sun room table with all of Alan's snail mail. Also I found a box of chocolate covered cherries from last Christmas which I took for the card group. Today Marianna came to cards for the first time since early this year. She has a lot of health problems. Sure good to see her again.
