Happy Halloween

We went to Prime Time this morning and they had the style show and many things for sale shown in the church hall.  The food was green salad, soup, spaghetti and ice cream with toppings and cookies. We brought the spaghetti home for our night meal. We went to the club to play cards, there was six of us. The weather high was in the low 80's.The pictures are of things for sale which is in the church hall.

Getting colder

Yes it is getting colder but there are fires in California. Breakfast was Raisin bran with one half banana, lunch was left overs and evening meal was one half egg salad sandwich and a celery stick. Today was spent doing some house cleaning. I did my Bible reading and notes put on the computer.

A busy day

Last night it was in the 40's outside inside was 66 when I turned the heater up. Alden came at 10:00 am so we went to Cost-Co for gas which was 6.562 gallons for for 33 days. Then we went to Cost-Co for groceries and took them home and put away. Next we went to Wells Fargo, I ordered checks. Next got lunch at Panda Express then to Wal-Mart for more groceries. At home we got everything put away and we all took a nap.Alden went to the club pool at 5:20 and returned at 6:00 pm then we went to Denny's for dinner. We missed Wheel a fortune Alden left and we watched Jeopardy. It was so great to do all these things with Alden's help. Thank you Alden.

Great weather

This morning we had corn flakes for breakfast. We went to ceramics. When we came home we went next door to see if she had a drainage problem and she did also I called the association about the drainage block in the kitchen sink so when we returned from playing cards they were here working on it. Well it seems to work OK now. No time for reading today.

Sunday

This morning we went to church and it was so great to have the orchestra play and then the bag-pipe man walked down the isle. At 10:00 am we went to Bob's bible study class the lessen is Genesis 12. We went to Denny's only one parking spot and the wait for our meal was about 45 min. so we have decided on Sundays to just go home to eat after church. Well there was bright pink signs all over to sign to recall Gavin Newsom our California Governor.so we did sign to recall him.

Perfect Day

Yes today was a great day, the high temp was 84 degrees. This was Ethel's day for washing. I made oat meal with raisins for breakfast. I did my Bible reading in Jeremiah with notes and prayer. For lunch we had left over chicken hot dish. I made baked salmon, mashed potatoes and cooked carrots for evening meal. We seem to have a back up of the kitchen sink and we have had a problem with my bathroom sink so I used the flashlight and discovered what was the problem so I took the real long screw driver and I pulled out the 5 inch bundle which has been the problem since I moved into this place.

Weather high

This morning for breakfast was cold cereal. We went to ceramics and working on Christmas things. The temperature went up to 94 degrees today. We smelled fire which was in Valley Center. I had made the chicken hot dish yesterday so I put it in the oven when we returned from ceramics. While we were eating lunch the door bell rang and there was Albert, he stayed for about one hour as he had to pick up people from R.B. Inn to take to The Wild Animal Park. This afternoon I sliced a peach and mixed it with yogurt for a snack, it was very good. Tonight we had a half peanut butter and jelly sandwich and two fig cookies. Then there was news and game shows.

                                         I guess I am getting shorter or Albert is growing taller.

Hot & windy

Today the temp was 95 and a strong wind, some power outages for fear of fire. Alden came over to check my car tires and they were low.We went to Prime Time which the entertainment was a organist which was in the main auditorium. The lunch was green salad, rice and beef stew and ice cream with all the toppings and cookies. This afternoon was cards and there was six of us.

Some cooler

Today the high was about 85 degrees. Very comfortable in the house. Cold cereal and banana for breakfast. Lunch finish the lasagna and asparagus. Evening meal was a poached egg on toast and a half peach with yogurt. I did my Bible reading and I finished my hand made Christmas presents.

Hot today

Yes today the temp. went up to 95 degrees. Breakfast was cream of wheat with banana. I made stir fry with chicken and noodles for lunch and evening meal was left over lasagna.  My Bible reading is still in Isaiah. I viewed pictures of our vacation on the east coast.

A warm day

For breakfast was oat meal with raisins and banana. We went to ceramics this morning. For lunch I made spinach lasagna. We went to the club for hand and foot., there was six of us. Evening meal was soup and crackers.

Church Day

This morning we went to the 8:30 am service and then the 10:00 am Bible study class, the topic is on Genesis. We missed Dorothy but she needed more time to get her health back. After church we went to "The Panda House" for lunch, which included take home left overs for this evening. We took to church our Samaritan Boxes one for a boy and one for a girl, these are for children over seas for Christmas.

Not another busy day

This morning started with Washing clothes and changing bedding. Breakfast was cold cereal with banana. Mary stopped by and I showed her what I am doing for Christmas. Lunch was chicken pot pies. Then Bible reading. I cleaned the window ledges in the sun room. We made a green salad for evening meal. Watched Lawrence Welk,and the game shows.

Busy Day

It was warmer this morning, I made oat meal with raisins and banana. We went to ceramics this morning and then we went to 99 cent store to purchase cards and bananas. Ethel purchased a few fall decorations to go with her ceramic pumpkin which is at the front door. This afternoon I did reading and took a nap. This evening we had potato soup and I added some salmon to it, it was good. I mailed cards to Elaine and Betty's family in L.A.

Busy day

Breakfast was cold cereal and Banana. At 10:00 am we went to Prime Time.Then we went to play Hand ad Foot at the club, there was six of us so we played partners. For dinner tonight I had my left overs from Prime Time. My Bible reading is now starting with Isaiah.

Busy day

This morning was a little cool. Breakfast was corn flakes with one half banana. Lunch was left over spare ribs, aspargus and sweet potato. Evening meal was vegetable soup and crackers and two fig cookies. I spent the day working on Christmas gifts and reading.

Sad but Praise God

Yes this morning we had waffles with blueberries for breakfast, then we waited for Alden to come to take us shopping at Wal-Mart and Sprouts as it is getting to hard for us to carry everything and then put it all away. At about 10:00 am I received a call from Elaine that Betty passed away this morning. Both Elaine and myself were happy that we visited Betty before she passed away. Now she does not have to suffer any more. When Elaine returned to Minneapolis her TV and internet were down so now she has to shop for a TV. After shopping Alden vacuumed  and cleaned the outside of my car while we fixed ribs, beans and baked potato for lunch and we each had a ice cream cone. Then it was nap time for all of us. Alden left to pick up Josh.

Great weather

Today the temperature got to 78 degrees. Up at 6:00 am to do Bible reading and prayer. Cold cereal for breakfast. We went to ceramics this morning, There is a bigger attendance now. I made spaghetti for lunch. We went to cards this afternoon, there was six of us. I made scrambled eggs with vegetables for evening meal.

Sunday

We went to the 8:30 am service then to the 10:00 am Bible study class. Then we went to Denny's but there was no parking so I parked on the street and I don't like to do that. Next Sunday I think we will go to The Panda House or go home.

Not much

Yes there is not much just all the same thing. Cream of wheat with raisins for breakfast, Fish, sweet potatoes and mixed vegetables for lunch.Potato soup for evening. At 6:00 pm we watched Lawrence Welk, then there was no game shows. O yes I did Bible reading and updating some things on the computer.

A great day

This morning I made oat meal with rasins for breakfast. At 9:00 am we went to ceramics and it seems like there is a large group for ceramics now. We had chicken pot pies for lunch. I outlined a new instruction for hand & foot game as somehow we could not locate the old copy and I had deleted it from my computer. I did my Bible reading and computer notes for it. I did some Sudoku  and puzzles on the computer. I took a ten minute nap. Otherwise quite busy.

A great day

The weather is great mostly in the high 70's. We went to Prime time, the entertainment was DeAnna Manley & Friends, the food was Pasto Chicken Penne, soup and Desert. We put our left overs in our coffee cup to take home for our evening meal and we had a yogurt with it. We played cards there was five of us.

Great weather

This morning I stayed in bed until almost 8:00 am, no reason to get up early. For breakfast was corn flakes and banana, lunch was spinach & pasta and a small sweet potato. For evening meal was chili and 2 fig cookies. I did Bible reading and computer stuff.

Drive to L.A.

This morning Alden came to pick me up to go the LA to see Betty. The traffic was not bad but we went up 15 and when we got to 60 west the ramp was closed so we had to go the next off ramp and go back south to 60 west. We visited with them for several hours and Betty seemed very tired. Larry's two sisters were there and Michel and they arranged for a place to take Betty with 24 hour care to help her take her medication etc. Betty will be going there tomorrow. Elaine said in just the last couple days Betty seemed worse. I was very happy when Larry's sister said to all that we have to be ready and Trust in God, Alden said she was more concerned with Larry and Michel as I am sure Betty and Elaine know the way.  I told her I was so happy that she pointed the way. We did not get to see any of dads sisters. We stopped off at Olive Garden and got home at 7:30 pm.

Not much news

This morning we had yogurt & a half banana for breakfast because all bowls were in the dish washer. I did Bible and Decision reading. Lunch was chicken stir fry and rice. We went to the club to play cards. The evening meal was soup, crackers and two fig cookies. This evening was the game shows.

Fish tacos

This morning was warmer, I put another blanket on my bed but I didn't need it. We went to church and then to Bible study. Then we wet to Claim Jumpers and we had fish tacos. When I got home I took a nap as I was feeling like coming down with a cold, I did my bible reading. I feel better this evening.

A great day

Early up then I changed my bedding and I put another blanket on. This morning when I went out to wash clothes it was 47 degrees, it was still dark out. I checked the milk and it was sour so we had yogurt with blueberries for breakfast. At 10:00 am we went to the club to check on the fair After driving around I finally found a place to park.. I only purchased some sweet bread from Diane. Then we went to Albertson's Sav-on to get our flu shot and purchase milk and bananas. For lunch we had chicken pot pies and evening was soup and crackers and a slice of the sweet bread. Then there was Bible reading.

A slow day

Another morning of 50 outside and 68 inside so I turned the heater on just to take the chill off. Then I made cream of wheat with raisins and one half banana. I did my bible reading. Then I did some crocheting. For lunch I made chicken stir fry and left over rice. Evening meal was poached egg on toast and left over potato salad and two fig cookies. Then there was the game shows.

Did I miss yesterday?

Well yesterday went to AAA to pay my condo Ins. and Auto. Ins. and pick up some AAA auto stickers and some maps. Then we went to the 99 cent store to purchase some items for shoe boxes for children at Christmas. I got items for a girl and Ethel got items for a boy. Today we went to Scripps for a dermatology Dr. appointment. Than I picked up Mary to go to Prime Time. This afternoon we went to play cards. This evening I received a call from Elaine and she said it will be OK for Alden and I co come to see them on Oct. 8. So we plan to be there about noon.

Cool this morning

When I got up this morning the temperature was 50 outside and 62 inside so I turned the heater on for the first time this fall. We did not go anywhere today. I had corn flakes and Lovely's coffee for breakfast, rice, chicken stir fry for lunch. I had potato salad and one half lunch meat and cheese sandwich for evening meal. I did my Bible reading and computer stuff. I received a e-mail from Elaine that Betty is on hospice and last Friday was her first day for it, so she will have that two times a week.
