Wash Day

Today is my turn to do the washing. Breakfast was cold cereal, lunch was pasta, cooked greens with white sauce, cottage cheese with pineapple. Evening meal was vegetable soup with crackers. I just received a "message" from Fred Lucero our Chula Vista neighbor. I wanted to send it to you but I don't know how to send it from Messenger. It is how to recognize a stroke.

Leftovers

This morning there was a slight amount of rain. We had corn flakes for breakfast. I did more Bible reading.  For lunch we had Thanksgiving leftovers. We had pumpkin pie for afternoon snack. This afternoon I put bows on Christmas packages as I need to use ribbon which I have had for years even since I was in Minneapolis.

Thanksgiving

This morning we had yogurt for breakfast. It was overcast then the sun came out and about 10:45 am it poured down. Page arrived at 11:40 am to pick us up to go to Alden's for dinner.  We sure missed him and Josh also Hailey as she was working at Bali Hi until 6:00 pm. Gina and the helpers did great with the dinner. I only took two pictures. After dinner every one relaxed as it was raining all afternoon. Paige brought us home so we arrived home about 5:00 pm and we ate the left overs which Gina fixed for us. Thanks to Gina.

Some rain

This morning I made the cranberry jello to take to Gina's for Thanksgiving dinner. This afternoon it started to rain and we will have rain for Thanksgiving and Friday. Paige will pick us up at about 11:00 am.

Getting colder

This morning we had corn flakes for breakfast. We went to get our hair cut. I did my Bible reading and notes to the computer. I played games on the computer and paying bills. Gina heard from Daisy that Alden and Josh arrived in Samoa.

This morning we had oat meal and one half banana for breakfast. We went to ceramics. For lunch I had my left over waffle with blueberries. We went to the club for cards. There was five of us. For evening meal we had pasta with spinach topped with white sauce and two fig cookies. Then we had a nutrition bar.

Sunday

This morning we went to church it is so nice when the orchestra plays. Was nice to see Dorothy as she has been ill for several weeks. We attended Bob's bible study class which is the last one this year. Then we went to Denny's and I had 1/2 waffle, scrambles egg and bacon. For evening we had a cheese tortilla and a slice of mangle.

What a Day

For breakfast I made omelet as I had two left over egg whites. Then Alden planed to come today but he couldn't as he took Gina to emergency at 7:30 last night and was in the hospital until about 3:00 am so is sending the four kids over to pick up the money to take to Samoa. We were eating out lunch when they came. Then at 1:30 Chad and Maria came, we snacked on mango and cookies. Then our hand and foot lady came over. Usually Saturday is a very slow day except for washing clothes. For night it was soup. But I did get to do two days of Bible reading.

Great Day

I love this weather, sun out and cool. Breakfast was cream of wheat with raisins and banana. We went to ceramics for a short time.  We went to Wells Fargo to get small bills for Samoa. For lunch we had chili with crackers. Afternoon snack was cookies from prime time. Evening meal I made eggs benedict, I used a computer recipe, it was good but involved too much to make. As I like to cook simple things now. Daisy from Samoa just sent some pictures and I spotted one of Candace when she was in Samoa. Here it is.

Some rain

That is right some rain, not much today. Hot oat meal with raisins and banana for breakfast. At 10:00 am we went to Prime Time, the entertainment was "Blue Zane" which consisted four men playing drums, saxophone, guitar and piano. The lunch was turkey, dressing, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, roll and apple pie with whipped cream and a cookie. This is the last Prime Time this year. There was bout 80 in attendance. At 2:00 pm we went to the club to play "Hand and Foot". We had soup for evening meal.  This is the table setting for Prime Time.

Rain again

Breakfast was cold cereal with banana. It was a day to stay in the house as it was raining off and on and a cool wind. A day for reading. Thanks to Alan for the answer of my question. Lunch was sweet potatoes, peas and chicken strips. Evening meal was soup and crackers. It seems like the only thing we do is eat so is that what retirement is? But it seems like we keep busy.

Rain

This morning we had a waffle with blueberries for breakfast. Then we waited for Alden to come. He got here at 10:00 am and after I showed him the list of things to do Alden took us to Wal-Mart to shop. After we each gathered our things we were standing in line to pay and my back gave out so I had to go and sit down while Alden and Ethel checked out our groceries. Then we went home to put everything away. At 1:00 m we went to Claim Jumpers for lunch, Ethel and I shared fish tacos and Alden had the salad bar and soup. When we were going to go home it was really pouring down rain. Then we all took a nap while it was raining. We watched the news and Alden took off to go home hopping the traffic would let up. Busy

This morning we went to ceramics. For lunch we had chicken pot pies and while eating Tom came and said the water was off so we checked everything so Tom called the association and they sent a plumber out but they could not find a leak. We went to the club to play cards there was six of us and my team really lost the worst ever. O well it is just a game. When we came home I made mac. & cheese and salmon for our night meal.

Warm Day

This morning we went to church and we went to Bob's Bible study class. We came home and I toasted lunch meat and cheese sandwiches for lunch. I read the Decision magazine. At 2:00 pm we went to church for another meeting. This evening meal  I fixed sweet potato, peas and fish sticks. Tonight we snacked on popcorn.

Relax day

This morning I started the washing at 6:00 am as it is hard for me to stay in bed when my hip is painful. Then I fixed corn flakes and banana for breakfast.. I did my Bible reading,special notes and praying.. Sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables and chicken strips for lunch. This afternoon I took a nap. I Made chicken and cheese sandwiches and two fig cookies for our evening meal. This evening we watched Lawrence Welk program.

Christmas cactus

For breakfast we had oatmeal with raisins and banana. Then we went to ceramics, there was only four of us. I took a picture of the Christmas cactus which I purchased last year. I would like to get a red one this year. Last year I could not find a red one.

Prime Time

Breakfast was corn flakes with banana. We went to Prime Time. Entertainment was three Andrew sisters. The lunch was soup, garlic bread, chicken pasta, drinks and ice cream and cookies. We went to play cards. Rosalee brought peanut butter cookies, Marianna brought candies. Evening meal was left over chicken pasta and one half donut. I still have three cookies and candy left over in the frig.

A slow day

We had cold cereal with banana for breakfast. I did my Bible study and entered notes on the computer. For lunch we had left overs from the Monday party. I did a puzzle on the computer and a Sudoku game on the computer. Evening meal was chicken noodle soup and crackers and two fig cookies. Then there was news about  impeaching our President Trump which turns out no truth just hear say.  Then there was our game shows.

I am tired

This one will be short as I am tired. I took Ethel to the emergency as she didn't feel well yesterday so she wanted to go to the hospital. We arrived there at 3:00 pm and just got home now at 10:20 pm and I had to creep home as it was real foggy. Good Night

A BUSY BUSY Day

First this morning we had yogurt for breakfast. At 8:30 am we went to Cost-Co to purchase things for the card ladies. At about 11:30 Ethel got sick, I was going to call cards off. But it seemed that Ethel was getting better and at 1:00 pm the ladies showed up so we played three games. Then we had the food. Sandwiches with lunch meat and cheese, deviled eggs, pickles, olives, chips, sparkling cider and pumpkin pie. The ladies left and Alden and Gina came, they just walked in the door and Alan called to set up a new SKYP so we had a great conversation with Alan, Alden, Gina and myself. Plans were made for Alden and Josh to go to Samoa as uncle Afua passed away. Alan will not be able to go as he will leave for China in a few days then in Dec. Alan will be going to Japan  with his students. So far Rosa, Kelly, and Popo are planning on going to Samoa.

Church Day

This morning we went to the 8:30 am service, Dr. Mofid gave the sermon of "Give thanks in all circumstances." It was a great memorial service honoring the military. At 10:00 am we attended Bob's Bible class the study is Genesis 15 through 17 about God blessed Abram by entering into a covenant. We came home and had chicken pot pies for lunch.  For our evening meal we had potato salad and cheese tortillas.

A Great Day

For breakfast we had cold cereal. Ethel did the washing. for lunch I made spaghetti. I did my Bible study and entered notes on the computer. This afternoon we played some Rummy-Q. The temperature went up to 85 degrees today.

Some fog

It is quite noisy as the gardener is trimming trees.  I did not go to ceramics today. I did a lot of reading and I made a potato salad. For lunch I made sweet potatoes, salmon and mixed vegetables. For evening meal we had potato salad and a half cheese and lunch meat sandwich. We will be going to Alden's for Thanksgiving. This Monday we are having the card ladies over at my house to play cards and have a little lunch. With the Holidays coming up I wanted to do this early.

Prime Time

This morning was warm again and foggy. We had raisin bran for breakfast. We went to Prime Time, the entertainment was Peter Small doing the history of GOLDA MEIR he even had the make beleve cigerate this was a  really great show,  I have seen him do George Washington. The food was enchiladas, rice, salad and Ice cream and cookies for desert. At 2:00 pm we went to the club to play Hand and Foot. Evening meal was left over enchiladas and a cookie from prime time. Then there was the news and game shows.

Foggy this morning

When I got up this morning it was foggy and the temperature was 55. I made cream of wheat with raisins and 1/2 banana. I didn't go any where today. I did my Bible reading and praying. It seems like things are not turning out right. Still no tax bill, I don't want to go anywhere now. Ethel's daughter Corene has lung cancer and brain cancer. But I know God will be with me in these struggles.

A day at home

This morning it is in the 40's again. For breakfast we had corn flakes and 1/2 banana. I did my Bible reading while waiting for Hailey to come to cut my hair. After my hair cut she trimmed Ethel's hair and I put the chicken hot dish in the oven. Hailey had lunch with us. When she left she took my manger scene and the paperwork to recall governor Newsman also I gave her some of my black tops for the girls. For our evening meal we had cream of mushroom soup with crackers. Then it was the news and game shows.

Busy day

This morning it was in the low 40's at 8:00 am I called the Tax Treasurer and she gave me tho amount of my tax bill and she said to wait until next week if I don't receive it I should mail it with my parcel/ bill no. Several other ladies at ceramics said they didn't receive theirs either. We went to ceramics and had lunch then we went to play cards. When we came home I put together a chicken hot dish for tomorrow. I did not do my Bible reading today, but I will catch up.

In the 40's again

Yes this morning it was cool outside again Inside we have the thermostat set at about 66 degrees for the night. We went to church at 8:30 am then to Bob's bible study class from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Then we went home and we had Chicken pot pies for lunch and vegetable stir fry for evening meal. I was going through paperwork to check on property tax and I found out it is due Nov. 1 each year and I still have not received the TAX BILL. So the next thing is to call to see if it was mailed. I did my Bible study and input notes on the computer. I reset all clocks, I sure wish they would leave the time one way.

Wash day

This morning it was 44 degrees outside and 67 inside. I did the washing today. We had corn flakes with 1/2 banana for breakfast. I did my Bible reading from Daniel. For lunch we had a chicken strip and 1/2 egg salad sandwich.. For evening meal I had a baked sweet potato and yogurt with blueberries. Watched Lawrence Welk show and Wheel of Fortune.

Morning temp 39 degrees

Yes it is getting cooler at night. This morning we went to ceramics. We came home and Alden left a message that Hailey got a call to go to work so she was unable to come and cut our hair. I had bible reading and notes entered to the computer. We put up a few Christmas decorations. Today I received a lengthy questionnaire to fill out to the U.S. District Court for Alan M Alagata so I am in the process of filling this out.
