Prayer Day

Breakfast was grape nuts cereal and banana. It was prayer time. Next was church time with "Turning Point" with David Jeremiah and "In Touch" with Charles Stanley. Our lunch was scalloped potatoes and salmon. We played Rummy-Q. Had a short nap and evening meal was poached egg on toast. We checked the News which was very sad with all the protesters. The National Guard and San Diego Police seemed to end it peaceably.

Keep praying

I started the laundry, then there was breakfast corn flakes and banana. I finished the laundry and changing my bed sheets at about 10:50 am. Lunch was leftover salmon, scalloped potatoes and green beans. This afternoon we played Rummy-Q and our snack was ice cream sandwich. Evening meal was soup and 1/2 slice toast. Watched the evening news which is so bad with all the demestrators all over the country. Alden called to check on us that we are safe. Everything here is very quiet.

Fun day

Breakfast was corn flakes with a banana. Checking things out from the riots in Minneapolis, what next will happen? We put together things for lunch which was Baked salmon, scalloped potatoes and green bean hot dish. Alden and Gina arrived with our groceries. Then we had lunch together. Next we played "Hand and Foot". Alden and Ethel were the BIG winners. Next was ice cream cones. Alden checked my computer to see if he could get the speaker to work on my ViewSonic Monitor but it seems like he couldn't get it to work. But we will check next time we SKYPE. May be next time Alan comes they can figure it out.

Another warm day

Today the temperature was about 85 degrees. For breakfast we had fried potato, chicken and egg on toast. Alden called and said they will be coming tomorrow about noon which is Friday. Then I emailed him my grocery list. I will be cooking our meal tomorrow. We had stew for lunch. Marianna came over and we sat outside and talked for a couple hours, we haven't seen her since everything closed down. For evening meal we had fish tacos.

Another warm day

Yes today it was in the high 80"s. We had corn flakes and 1/2 banana for breakfast. No more oranges from Alden. Alden and Gina plan on coming Saturday with groceries and play hand and foot. This morning we sorted out all the cards as many were really dirty. We are keeping six sets enough for four players. The rest of cards and containers we will give to Alden. For lunch we had sweet potato, corn and chicken strips. Our afternoon snack was cake and ice cream. I called Mary and she seems to be very lonely as she lives alone. Evening meal was 1/2 cheese and lunch meat sandwich and two cookies. Then it was news and game shows.

Went to club

For breakfast I made french toast with blueberries and whipped cream. We went to the club to pick up our things from the ceramics and the box of card things. The club is crazy, we went all over trying to find things as they are working on upgrading everything. We still didn't find some of our ceramics that we were working on. We came home and sorted out things to give to Alden as we have been using their cards. For lunch we had fish tacos.Reading in the afternoon. It was getting very warm so we had to use the fans. The evening meal was tunafish salad and toast.

Memorial Day

For breakfast it was grape nuts, 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange. I viewed Memorial Day program in Washington DC. Lunch was KFC chicken leg, corn and potato. Afternoon snack was yogurt. We played hand and foot and Ethel was way ahead of me until the last game I came out the winner.
Evening meal was grilled cheese sandwich and two cookies.

Yesterday was SKYPE

I did no Blog yesterday but I had a great day as Alden and Gina came with our groceries and KFC for lunch. We played hand and foot and Gina and I were the winners, great fun. Then Alden picked up food from Olive Garden and we were on SKYPE with Alan's for about a hour. Today we viewed "Turning Point" and "In Touch" for lunch we had left over Olive Garden. Afternoon snack was yogurt and evening meal was left over KFC.

Temperature in the 70's

Great weather. Breakfast was cold cereal with 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange. Morning was spent reading. Lunch was chicken pot pie. We played hand and foot and Ethel was the big winner. Afternoon snack was yogurt. Evening meal was pizza. then it was News and game shows. As you can see my activities are almost the same every day.

Warm day

It was in the 80's today. Breakfast was cold cereal, 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange. Bible reading was I Samuel  25 thru 28 about Abigail and Nobal and David. Alden called and He and Gina will come Saturday as all the kids are working and they need some one to watch the dogs on Friday. We had pizza and left over stew for lunch. Afternoon snack was yogurt. We played hand and foot and it was a close game but Ethel was the winner. Our evening meal was soup and crackers. Then same old thing News and game shows.

Another cool day

For breakfast it was cold cereal, 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange. I vacuumed and dusted everything in my room and the living room. Lunch was chicken pot pie and two cookies. Afternoon was Bible reading and prayer time. Snack time was yogurt and blueberries. Evening meal was a poached egg on toast. Then it was news time and game shows.

This is a cooler day

This morning I madee oatmeal with banana and 1/2 orange for breakfast. I made a pot of stew. So there is some in the freezer. Reading and studying of Genesis and prayer time. This afternoon for afternoon snack it was 1/2 muffin and ice cream. Evening meal was grilled cheese sandwich coleslaw and two cookies. Then there was news and game shows.

Monday

For breakfast we had cold cereal, banana and 1/2 orange. Alden called and said he will be coming at about 4:00 pm to help with work in the yard and install a device which he made to hold the microphone for SKYPE. He did other jobs around the house like clean the fan over the table.and checking other items. It is so great for Alden to do these things which are hard for me to do. Alden and Gina will be coming Friday again with groceries and have a fun time here. Today I had to take my hearing aid to repair it Alden gave me too big a hug and the hear aid went BEP, BEP. BEP and it died, It is fixed now. I made fish tacos for evening meal and cake and ice cream. Alden was viewing pictures mostly of his family which are on my computer. He left about 9:00 pm.

Time with Alden's

This morning after my shower I had a yogurt and my medication. At 10:00 am Alden came to take us down to his house for the day. He drove my car and he washed and polished it and checked everything. We stopped and purchased some  donuts which we had with coffee when we got to Alden's.. Hailey cut my hair and Ethel's hair, it has been three months since we got a hair cut. Then about 1:30 we had lunch which Gina fixed which was Mexican tacos with pulled chicken and all the trimmings like refried beans and pasta salad.  Then six of us played Hand and Foot. Next was ice cream and cookies. Then we all went to the back yard to watch them play the game of Spike Ball, what a game. Next pictures were taken of us all and Gina will post the pictures. Alden brought us home. This was a great day as we have not gone anywhere for three months.

Wash Day

This morning I did the washing. Breakfast was cold cereal and 1/2 orange. Lunch was left over Chinese food. This afternoon we played hand and foot, I won. Afternoon snack was chocolate cake and ice cream. Evening meal was grilled cheese sandwich and chips and salsa. Viewed Laurence Welk and game shows.

Wonderful day with Alden and Gina

Yes they arrived about 10:30 am. The only groceries was milk, small Ice Cream and snail poison. Alden and Ethel worked in the yard. Gina and I relaxed in the patio while watching them work. Then Gina and I ordered Panda Express and we went to pick it up. We feasted on the great food. Then we played cards and Ethel and Alden were the BIG winners. Then we had chocolate cake which I made this morning and ice cream which Alden brought. Alden and I went to my room to check on something which Aden is making to attach the speaker for SKYPE. Alden and Gina left about 5:00 pm. It was a great day with them.

Another great day

Yes the weather is great. Breakfast was cold cereal and 1/2 orange, these oranges are from Alden's tree, they are so good. The morning was spent reading. Lunch was chicken hot dish, beans, and sweet potato. Mary stopped by for a few minutes just to visit on the patio. Afternoon was spent playing cards and this time I was the winner. Our afternoon snack was yogurt. Evening meal was soup and a slice of toast.

A Great Day

I had the best sleep last night for a long time. Breakfast was cold cereal and 1/2 orange. morning spent reading. Lunch was chicken hot dish, sweet potato and beans. Afternoon was spent playing cards and I did win. Evening meal was Chili, crackers and two cookies. Then there was news and game shows.

This is Tuesday

This morning it was cooler and the high today was in the 70"s. For breakfast it was spam egg on toast and 1/2 orange. My day was spent reading most of the day. For lunch I made fish tacos.  This afternoon we played hand and foot and I will say I couldn't win a game for my life. O well that is the way it goes, you can't win them all. Our afternoon snack was yogurt with blueberries. The evening meal was soup and crackers and two cookies. Then there was News and game shows.

Cooler Day

This morning for breakfast it was cold cereal, banana and 1/2  orange. I called DMV to make an appointment for my driver test and I waited for one hour before I got to talk to someone. She asked how old I would be and I told her 91 then she said I will be getting a notice that it would be extended 120 days so we will see what happens. For lunch it was sweet potato, beans and chicken. Our afternoon snack was Birthday cake from Gail's 88 Birthday. Our evening meal was grilled cheese sandwich. Then it was news and game shows.

Mother's Day

While eating breakfast I received a Mother's Day call from Albert. It was good to hear from him and he is doing OK but still out of work. There is only one place open for tennis and that is North Island.
He seems to be very much into politics, he said That Trump is doing a great job, if only Nancy would be gone. We viewed David Jeremiah and Charles Stanley ,I really enjoy listening to them. I called Alden and told him that I would just stay home today and he said both Josh and McKenna will be working today. We had Chicken Pot Pies for lunch, very easy. Evening meal was egg and spam on toast.

Saturday

I did not blog last night as I was tired after the big day yesterday. Alden and Gina came about noon and we had lunch together which I made. They brought groceries and flowers for Mother's Day. We played Hand and Foot, Gina and I are having a hard time to beat Ethel and Alden. Maybe next time we will do better. Then we got on SKYPE with Alan and Lovely for one hour and forty minutes. It is so nice to do SKYPE. I am so sorry that Alan's will not be able to come to US this year.

Busy Day

It was hot again today 97 outside but the high inside was 79 and we still didn't use the AC. When I got up I started to put together the chicken hot dish. Then there was cold cereal with 1/2 banana for breakfast. Mary walked down to see the flowered plant. I made the Flan. Lunch was fish sticks, beans and sweet potato. This afternoon I made Col slow for tomorrow. Evening meal was a small pizza.

Another hot day

Yes in the 90's. Breakfast was grape nuts with 1/2 banana. Reading in the morning. For lunch it was Sweet potato, peas and meat balls. Afternoon snack was 1/2 blueberry muffin. Evening meal was grilled cheese and cole slaw. Then there was news and game shows which are mostly re-runs, may be because of the virus.

A hot day

Yes it got in the 90's today. We played hand and foot early today before it got too hot in the sun room. Breakfast was a waffle with blueberries and whipped cream. Lunch was Fish tacos. Bible reading and prayer. I am reading Genesis and reading all the notes shown in my Study Bible so I can't read too long as the notes are small print and then I get dizzy. Afternoon snack was yogurt. Evening meal was cheese and lunch meat sandwich and pickles.

Drive to Medical

Up early and went to get yearly lab tests. Arrive home and have breakfast which was cold cereal, 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange. Checking computer. Bible reading and prayer. Lunch was chicken and finish Panda food. Afternoon snack was yogurt with blueberries. Played a few games of hand and foot. Evening meal was soup and crackers and two cookies. Then there was News and game shows.

Sunday

Here we are at home another Sunday. We had cold cereal, 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange for breakfast. At 10:00 am we viewed Turning Point which was a great message on the prophecy written hundreds of years before Jesus was born. Dr. David Jeremiah is so great at Bible prophecy. Then we viewed In Touch. For lunch we had Panda left overs and afternoon snack was 1/2 chocolate muffin. We played hand and foot and Ethel won. Evening meal was peanut butter and jelly sandwich and yogurt.

Wash day

This morning I started the wash at 8:30 am and finished at about 12:00 noon. Had cold cereal with 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange. We had left over Panda food for lunch. We played three games of hand and foot, I was the winner. I had 1/2 blueberry muffin from Cost-Co. Evening meal was cottage cheese and 1/2 tomato. Watched Lawrence Welk show and game shows.

Time with Alden and Gina

For breakfast we had cold cereal, 1/2 banana and 1/2 orange. Reading and computer stuff. Lunch was pizza and yogurt. Alden and Gina came about 2:00 pm. We put the groceries away and visited, then we played Hand and Foot until 5:15 pm. Gina and I were the winners this time. Gina ordered Panda Express and Alden went to fill my car with gas $15.61 has not had gas since Feb. 14 and today is May 1, so we have been at home a lot. Then Alden picked up the Panda dinner, it was so good. We had ice cream for desert and they left about 7:30 pm. It is always so nice for them to come.
