Drive to L.A.

This morning Alden came to pick me up to go the LA to see Betty. The traffic was not bad but we went up 15 and when we got to 60 west the ramp was closed so we had to go the next off ramp and go back south to 60 west. We visited with them for several hours and Betty seemed very tired. Larry's two sisters were there and Michel and they arranged for a place to take Betty with 24 hour care to help her take her medication etc. Betty will be going there tomorrow. Elaine said in just the last couple days Betty seemed worse. I was very happy when Larry's sister said to all that we have to be ready and Trust in God, Alden said she was more concerned with Larry and Michel as I am sure Betty and Elaine know the way.  I told her I was so happy that she pointed the way. We did not get to see any of dads sisters. We stopped off at Olive Garden and got home at 7:30 pm.

Not much news

This morning we had yogurt & a half banana for breakfast because all bowls were in the dish washer. I did Bible and Decision reading. Lunch was chicken stir fry and rice. We went to the club to play cards. The evening meal was soup, crackers and two fig cookies. This evening was the game shows.

Fish tacos

This morning was warmer, I put another blanket on my bed but I didn't need it. We went to church and then to Bible study. Then we wet to Claim Jumpers and we had fish tacos. When I got home I took a nap as I was feeling like coming down with a cold, I did my bible reading. I feel better this evening.

A great day

Early up then I changed my bedding and I put another blanket on. This morning when I went out to wash clothes it was 47 degrees, it was still dark out. I checked the milk and it was sour so we had yogurt with blueberries for breakfast. At 10:00 am we went to the club to check on the fair After driving around I finally found a place to park.. I only purchased some sweet bread from Diane. Then we went to Albertson's Sav-on to get our flu shot and purchase milk and bananas. For lunch we had chicken pot pies and evening was soup and crackers and a slice of the sweet bread. Then there was Bible reading.

A slow day

Another morning of 50 outside and 68 inside so I turned the heater on just to take the chill off. Then I made cream of wheat with raisins and one half banana. I did my bible reading. Then I did some crocheting. For lunch I made chicken stir fry and left over rice. Evening meal was poached egg on toast and left over potato salad and two fig cookies. Then there was the game shows.

Did I miss yesterday?

Well yesterday went to AAA to pay my condo Ins. and Auto. Ins. and pick up some AAA auto stickers and some maps. Then we went to the 99 cent store to purchase some items for shoe boxes for children at Christmas. I got items for a girl and Ethel got items for a boy. Today we went to Scripps for a dermatology Dr. appointment. Than I picked up Mary to go to Prime Time. This afternoon we went to play cards. This evening I received a call from Elaine and she said it will be OK for Alden and I co come to see them on Oct. 8. So we plan to be there about noon.

Cool this morning

When I got up this morning the temperature was 50 outside and 62 inside so I turned the heater on for the first time this fall. We did not go anywhere today. I had corn flakes and Lovely's coffee for breakfast, rice, chicken stir fry for lunch. I had potato salad and one half lunch meat and cheese sandwich for evening meal. I did my Bible reading and computer stuff. I received a e-mail from Elaine that Betty is on hospice and last Friday was her first day for it, so she will have that two times a week.
