Sunday last of March

After a shower and ready for Church I had my medication with yogurt. At 8:00 am we went to Church, we dropped off at the Church office more things for resale. The message was from scripture  Psalm 133:1-3. The Unity of God's kingdom is the Lord's Blessing. We attended Bob's class at 10:00 am then we went to Denny's for brunch. I spent the afternoon relaxing and reading. Thank God for this beautiful Sunday.

Wash day

Yes today is my turn to do the washing. I talked to Alden and he has next week off so he is going to come some day next week to help with anything to be done. He will check on my car and clean the gutters and visit also. In the corner next to the fireplace a beautiful Lilly  showed its face.

Friday

I made oatmeal with raisins and 1/2 a banana for breakfast. I made a Fruit Cocktail Cake with the ummy topping.. I made spaghetti and meatballs for lunch and left over spaghetti for dinner.

Prime Time

We went to Prime Time I picked up Mary to go with us. Prime Time started at our church 37 years ago. Today there was 10 tables with a average of 6 persons at a table. The entertainment was a soloist and one of the best songs was "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" The food was Mexican Green salad, Spanish rice and chicken enchiladas, ice cream with toppings and cookies for desert and all kinds of drinks. This afternoon we went to play "Hand and Foot" Karol is new and there was Mary, Ethel and myself.

Slow day

There is not much to say for today. Just reading, rummy-q and relaxing.Also doing puzzles on the computer and a few updates on the computer. Getting things ready for the resale shop at church.

Shopping

Milk is sour so I cooked eggs over easy on toast and spam. At 8:30 am we went to Wells Fargo and Wal-Mart to shop. While shopping my cart died and I couldn't move it so I left it and went to get another cart. When I arrived home my back was so painful that I could hardly get to my room after getting the ice pack for my back for 20 minutes. After that I felt great. I did some samples of Pentagon tours, which now I think I will be able to do it 90 days before July 24.

Beautiful day

It seems like we are getting some spring weather. This afternoon we went to play "hand and foot" we have a new person Evelyn who will only play on Mondays. She has played a different version but it is not too different.

This is Sunday

We went to the 8:30 Church service the message was "A journey of Trust" Psalm 131. At 9:30 we went to the Bible Study led by Bob we are studying James 3:1-12 To control your tongue. Before the class we have coffee or tea and donate  holes. We invited Karol to join us and she really enjoyed the study. Then we went to Denny's  for lunch. Rest of day was relaxing and reading.

Not much today

I had a good sleep as I was able to sleep some on my right side,  I was able to stay in bed until 7:00 am. Breakfast was waffles with blueberries. Ethel did the wash today. I checked for things to go to the Retail Shop. More reading and crocheting.

SKYPE Alan

This morning breakfast was hot oat meal with raisins. At 9:00 am Pina came with the result of my income tax which was about the same as last year. Yes I will be getting a rebate. I have been crocheting and reading. This evening Alan called to get on SKYPE it was great and we talked about 45 min. Things are getting together for our July vacation thanks to Alan. He is a great "Tour Guide".

More rain

I made french toast with blueberries for breakfast. I went to the car this morning at 10:00 am with no rain coat, by the time I backed the car it was raining. O well I will take my chance and when I got to Church there was no rain.We were at Church until 12:30 for Prime Time. Karol came to Prime Time also. At 2:00 pm we went to the club for cards and it poured down. We are still eating left overs, O well I don't need to cook.

Rain predicted

Yes we did get some rain this afternoon. There is a report from Naomi that they really got hail in L.A.  This morning we made scalloped potatoes for the ceramics meeting  pot luck, the food was great. We were to take a ceramic item to share and tell about how we made the item. I took one of the turtles which I made.

Shutter fixed

This morning Pina came to go over my income tax. He will bring the results Friday. This afternoon a repair man came to secure the shutter next to the front door. I reported this since shortly after we moved in here which was 2014 and now it finally got fixed. I guess I have to keep after them and don't give up. I tried on line to get tours for the Pentagon but I don't really know what I am doing or what I need to do.

Yes I forgot yesterday

Yesterday we went to church and to Bob's Bible study class which we are studying in James about how Faith that does not result in Christian behavior is worthless. We did not go out to eat as we had too many times to eat out last week. I got involved in going through my file cabinet as it was so packed. By the time I finished I forgot Bloging and I forgot my night pills.
Today I went to ceramics and the tread mill. This afternoon we went to play cards.

Wash day

Yes today is my turn to wash clothes. Everything went great until I checked the last load of dark clothes. Well Ethel had a dark green blouse and a button caught on the agitator and every thing was in a mess I worked for 1/2 hour to get the clothes out (almost ready to get the scissors to cut everything including my bed sheets). We had left overs again.

Macular Degeneration

This morning I got up early at 5:00 am as I have a hard time sleeping in the early morning and this morning I had an 8:00 am appointment arrive at 7:45 to see Dr Lin for a consultation as to what is going on in my right eye. They used a strong dilate solution so it was very hard for me to drive home and my eyes were very blurry until about 2:00 pm. The result is a small blood clot and there is nothing to worry about and wants me to report back in six months. I thank God for being with me.

Prime Time

Today was Prime Time at Church for $9.00 includes Rosemary Bailey preform on the piano for one hour and dinner which was chicken, mashed potatoes, green salad with all the extras and choice of dressing, roll, ice cream with all kinds of toppings, cookies, and coffee, hot tea, ice tea, lemon aid, ice water. At 2:00 pm we went to the club to play hand and foot. We had our left over chicken and mashed potatoes for our evening meal.

shopping

This morning we went to Wal-Mart to shop. Well it took almost one half hour to get there as there was a accident and it was bumper to bumper for about two miles. This afternoon we went to the church for a concert, after the concert we stayed for the Wednesday supper which consisted of baked potato with all the toppings a green salad, pizza, ice cream with all toppings and all kinds of drinks.
Tonight I made two seat belt covers as when I moved I tossed all the ones which I made years ago.

I can't believe it

Yes it rained again early this morning. We are still eating left overs today. My day was reading, crocheting and Rummy-Q,  I am finally getting in the grove of winning. Marianna said she would like to learn how to play Rummy-Q.

Some rain again

When I got up at 6:00 am and had my devotions I read first Peter and prayer, we went to the club and Ethel did ceramics while I went to the exercise room for work out on the tread mill for twenty minutes. then I joined in the ceramics only working on crocheting. This afternoon we played cards with Mary and Marianna. After cards we went to Olive Garden and when we went to the car it was raining. Now we have left overs for two meals so I don't cook tomorrow goody.

Sunday

I had peach yogurt with my medication. We went to church this morning, there was no Bible Study class, then we went to Denny's. we shared a veggie omelet with hash browns. Did some reading, crocheting and relax. Made pea soup and one half avocado for evening meal.

Time with Mary

I made oat meal with raisins for breakfast. Ethel did the laundry. For lunch I made sweet potatoes, chicken strips, mixed vegetables and avocado. At 1:00 pm we went to Mary's to visit and play Rummy-Q. For dinner we had left overs from lunch. I did reading and crocheting.

Doctor appointment

I am having a problem with pain in my lower right shoulder so I sent the Dr. a message and She had me come to see what is going on. She found out that it is not my shoulder it is lower than my shoulder. The treatment is ice packs, heat and solonpas patch. I really have pain if I sleep on my right side. I don't have the pain with my daily activities.

PRIME TIME

This morning we went to Prime Time the entertainment was very good. The food was great green salad with nuts and strawberries and a vinegar dressing, rice, two salmon patties, rolls, desert was pineapple and coconut baked with a topping. Of course there was all the different drinks coffee hot tea, ice tea, lemon aid and water. At 2:00 pm we went to the club to play cards. It was rather cool today but no rain. Pictures are Prime Time and the display with my ceramic frog which is in the club library.

Rain again

Early this morning there was thunder and lightening and rain. Then today it cleared up and now about 7:00 pm it started to rain again. I did some house cleaning, reading and crocheting. We also played Rummy-Q.

Another day

This morning I made a omelet for breakfast. We went to Cost-Co to shop, we still don't need gas. We went to get our hair cut had yogurt and bread pudding. Played Rummy-Q this evening I baked yams and salmon

No rain today

There was no rain but there was plenty of clouds. I made scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast. After dropping Ethel off at ceramics I went to Dr. Rick this morning then to the tread mill. Patty used my frog for display at the library for this month. This afternoon we went to the club for Hand & Foot. There was Mary, Rosalee, Ethel and myself.

Sunday

We went to church and the Bible study class. We are still in James 2:1-13 to avoid partiality. We went to Denny's for lunch. The afternoon was spent reading and relaxing.

Rain again

Yes that is true the rain came again and I am glad I did the washing yesterday. I made bread pudding with apples and it turned out very good. This day was spent reading.

First of March

Since rain is predicted for tomorrow I decided to do the washing today. I changed my bedding and started the washing. I just fixed rasin bran with banana and Lovely's coffee for breakfast. I was checking my e-mail and my computer froze up so I just shut it down. When I came back everything was great. I finished the washing.  Trying to catch up with paperwork and reading.
