Annie and Karl

This morning was egg on toast. We are still staying home. Annie called and informed me that they were going to drop off a table for Alden's. For lunch we had rice and chow main. Annie and Karl got here about 2:00 pm. It was in the high 70's today but not much sun.  We had a yogurt for our afternoon snack. Evening meal was a toasted cheese and lunch meat sandwich we only have one half sandwich.

Mary waked over

Breakfast was cold cereal and a half orange from Alden's so juicy and sweet. Computer things, then Mary visited with us outside but not very long as there was a cold wind. Red potatoes, chicken strips and Brussels sprouts for lunch. We played three games of Rummy-Q. Afternoon snack was the last of the fruit cocktail cake and it was real good. Alden called for a half hour talk. evening meal was left overs with one meat ball and two fig cookies. Then there was news and game shows with popcorn.

Sunday

This morning we had cold cereal and banana for breakfast. We viewed Charles Stanley and David Jeremiah Sunday service. For lunch we had pizza and our afternoon snack was fruit cocktail cake. Afternoon was calling some friends, reading and computer games. Evening meal was soup and crackers. I tried to delete one of the movies and the TV froze again so we had to call to get it fixed. Then we watched the movie "Paris wine and romance".

Stay At Home

This is another stay at home day. I called Marianna and found out that she had a heart attack March 15. She is doing OK now. She offered John to do any shopping we need. I told her that Alden is doing our shopping. Today was spent reading and we played a couple games of Rummy-Q. Ethel did he laundry. We had chicken pot pie for lunch and cream of broccoli soup and grilled cheese sandwich for evening meal.

Not Going Anywhere

That is right. Breakfast was oatmeal with raisins and banana. Reading and computer things. Alden called to check-up. Lunch was scalloped potatoes, broccoli and fish sticks. Then we watched a movie "A Perfect Catch. I did some reading and Alden called to get on SKYPE as he and Andrew wanted to play "Hand and Foot" so it was a little hard to teach them as I didn't remember the books they had started on the table, I think we were on SKYPE for about a hour. When things get better I will have Andrew, McKenna, Alden and Gina come so we can teach them better in person.

Still staying home

A painful night so I took a pain pill at 4:00 am so I was able to stay in bed until about 8:00 am. I made oat meal with raisins and banana for breakfast. I did my devotions. I called a few friends to see how they are doing. Checking computer things. Lunch was scalloped potatoes, broccoli, and meat balls.  We shared a orange from Alden's tree also some fruit cocktail cake. The evening meal was soup with a slice of toast. Then news and game shows and Alden called to check on us.

Great day with Alden

After a shower there was breakfast of a waffle. Then Alden called to make sure I was not in need of anything else. He arrived here at about 10:30 am. Alden got the groceries in and I went over with him things to be done. He had everything done and we were ready to eat lunch at 12:15 pm  Which was salmon, scalloped potatoes and green beans. Alden recorded several programs and he showed me how to record the Church services so it will record every Sunday.

Staying home

This morning we had a waffle for breakfast. I did reading and computer stuff. Alden called and said he might come over tomorrow with my groceries. Lunch was left over spaghetti and meat balls and jello. We watched a movie "All Of My Heart". My friend Elaine from Minneapolis called, she was wondering how I am doing with all these shut downs. She went to get groceries this morning and she doesn't want to go shopping for a month. This evening we had soup and crackers. Then it was news and game shows.

No Church Today

I got up this morning and it is hard to believe that the Church is closed. We had cream of wheat with a mixture of dry milk and water as we ran out of milk and they don't want us to leave the house. Then we viewed two services which I recorded yesterday, Charles Stanley and David Jeremiah, I really enjoyed these. For lunch I made spaghetti and meatballs and we had jello with whipped cream. This afternoon was spent reading and a nap. This evening we had a grilled cheese sandwich and jello. Tonight we had popcorn.

Wash day

I did not get up until about 8:00 am as I had a rough night to sleep from my hip and back pain. I did the washing today. For lunch we had chicken strips, broccoli and sweet potatoes. Our afternoon snack was fruit cocktail cake. I made some jello. We watched a movie Love Under The Rainbow. I talked to Alden and they were working in the yard. He was letting me know how things are at the grocery store,

A three way SKYPE

This morning we had blueberry pancakes for breakfast. I did some reading and Alden called to go on SKYPE. We wanted to do a three way skype. For lunch we had meat balls, red potatoes and broccoli. Our afternoon snack was fruit cocktail cake. Later on Alden called to get on skype and while we were on skype Alan called to get on skype so we had a three way skype. It was very interesting as Alan explained everything that is going on in Taiwan. I am so glad that we have skype at this time.

rain now and then

We are still at home and trying to keep busy. We had cold cereal for breakfast. I just received my California Driver Handbook so I started reading it as I will have to take a test this year.Albert called and wondered how I was doing and said if I need anything to call him and he can shop for me. He is doing good but his work is stopped as everything in U.S. is SHUT DOWN. For lunch we had some lamb stew which our neighbor brought  so we put it on toast it was real good. This afternoon I made a Fruit Cocktail cake and Ethel took some to our neighbors. We played a couple games of Rummy-Q. Also I had recorded a movie of the Walton's so we watched it. For evening meal I made a salad with Samoan tuna and boiled eggs. Then
there was News and game shows.

New decision

For breakfast we had blueberry pancakes. Mostly reading and computer games. Lunch was a toasted lunch meat and cheese sandwich. I talked to Alden and we made a decision that Alden and Gina don't come Friday as it is too risky for us with this Coronavirus. I e-mailed Alden the Hand & Foot instructions and my grocery list so Alden will deliver the groceries next wee some time. We are feeling OK and trying to stay safe.

Skyped Alden's

This morning we had cold cereal for breakfast. I spent the morning reading the book of my ancestors on my mother's side. For lunch we had left overs. This afternoon we viewed a movie (Love Once & Always) we had a toasted cheese and lunch meat sandwich this evening. We watched the News and game shows. Then Alden called to SKYPE which was about a hour. I will send them a grocery list and they will get my groceries Friday and spend the day with us. May be we will SKYPE Alan's when they are here.

Staying home

Breakfast was cold cereal. Ethel did the laundry as there was no rain today. We called off the hand and foot game at the club. Trying to keep away from other people. So far we are doing OK and keeping busy. Lunch was red potatoes, squash and ground beef. Evening meal was tomato soup with pasta and ground beef. Evening was news and game shows.

No Church today

It is hard to believe that everything is shut down from this Coronavirus. This morning I made scrambled eggs for breakfast. We watched Charles Stanley and David Jeremiah Church programs. I really enjoyed these programs. For lunch we had fish tacos and squash. The afternoon was spent reading and prayer as today was A National Day Of Prayer.

Time at Home

This morning there was a little rain so I told Ethel to not wash clothes. I made scrambled eggs with spam and toast. I finished my six month outline Bible study as Tomorrow March 15 will be seven years since Dad passed away. I still miss him very much. There is so much on TV about the Coronavirus. For lunch we had Chicken pot pie. The day was spent reading and computer stuff. As there is no church I recorded Charles Stanley and David Jeremiah and a Hallmark movie.

Telephone message from Church

This morning I made French Toast with blueberries and whipped cream. It was raining so we stayed home until about 10:00 am then the sun came out so we went to ceramics as we have not been there for quite a while as they are remodeling. Then when we decided to come home it poured down rain. For lunch we had candied sweet potatoes and fish tacos. Evening meal was soup and crackers. While watching the game shows we received a message from church that the Church is shut down for three weeks, no church, no prime time and no Bible study class. This is for the Corona-Virus. Also News said Sweetwater schools will be closed. So I guess Alden will be home also.

Prime Time

This morning we had cold cereal with banana for breakfast. We went to Prime Time and it was raining so I stayed in the car to wait for the rain to let up but I decided to get out of the car when a very gracious lady met me with the umbrella. The entertainment was Willowood Trio which was Violin, Flute & Harp. Mostly Irish songs. The food was Corned beef and cabbage, ice cream with all the toppings and cookies. We cancelled the cards as we didn't want to get in the rain.

Corona Virus

This morning we had cold cereal and banana for breakfast. We fixed a bag lunch to take to our ceramic meeting as they cancelled the pot luck. After the meeting we went to get our hair cut. Trump made a speech and he stopped all traffic coming from Europe for a month. Chad stent Ethel a message for us not to go anywhere. We feel we have lived our lives and if God wants us we are ready. We had split pea soup and crackers for our evening meal.

No movies

Breakfast was eggs over easy on toast with spam. Computer stuff, reading. Lunch was sweet potato, broccoli and meat ball with cheese. All set to watch a recorded movie and when the TV froze all the movies were deleted. I went to do reading and took a nap. Evening meal was squash hot dish and cabbage salad. We watched the news and game shows and munched on pop corn.

For lunch we had squash and chicken. This afternoon we went to play Hand & Foot cards. There was seven of us. Our evening meal was fish tacos and two fig cookies.

Up in The Dark

Yes I don't care for this day light saving time change, it was voted out last year but still not changed. I had my medication with yogurt this morning. Went to church, it was misting and Friday Alden cleaned the car. O well at least it was not mud on the car. We went to Bob's Bible study class. We had a sandwich and coleslaw for lunch. Afternoon was spent reading and a nap. Evening meal was spam, red potato and Brussels sprouts.

Shopping Day

For breakfast we had cream of wheat with raisins. I checked things on the computer and Chad called to take us for lunch we had a nice time visiting and he showed us pictures of his work on his property. Alden came about 2:30 and he did errands which I had on my list. Then Alden took us shopping at Cost-Co and Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart shelves were quite empty as they are changing everything around. Alden and I went to IHOP for dinner. We watched the game shows.

A Busy Day

This morning was cold cereal with banana. Then there was Prime Time which was Sylvia & Salvador they were very good. Lunch was pork chops and roasted vegetables, green salad, bread and apple pie with ice cream. Then there was cards and there was seven of us. Our evening meal was a small pizza. We unplugged the TV but it still didn't fix the problem so I called Spectrum and they had to fix it from the office.

TV froze

This morning for breakfast we had hash browns, egg and spam. Pina came at 9:00 am with my income tax papers. For lunch we had chicken pot pies. This afternoon we watched the movie "Time For You To Come Home For Christmas" When I deleted it I received (Delete Please Wait) we waited and the TV froze up. Well now we can't use the TV until may be Alden can fix it. Alden came back from Monmouth Monday night but I haven't heard from him yet. We will be busy Thursday with Prime Time and cards so may be he will come some time this week end.

Lunch was chicken strips, greens and baked potato. This afternoon was reading and computer games. We viewed a movie "A country Wedding" The evening TV was all about the democratic election.

Rain is here

This morning was yogurt and pills. We went to church and Bible study class. For lunch we had candied sweet potatoes, mac & cheese & greens. This afternoon I did reading and a nap, also some computer games. This evening we had soup cinnamon toast and two fig cookies. At about 6:00 pm the rain came.
