Hot day

Breakfast was grape nuts and banana. Reading and computer things. At noon I turned the AC on but it didn't kick in as it was still 77 in the house and I have it set at 78. Lunch was pizza and shrimp salad and cucumber which in marinated with vinegar and a dash f salt. The cucumber is from Alden's garden, it is GOOD. Snack was yogurt. Evening meal was lunch meat and cheese sandwich with cucumber and two fig cookies.

One more day in July

Breakfast was oat meal with banana. When I got up this morning it was  66 outside and 73 inside so I opened the front door and kept it open for a couple hours. Then the temp. wint up to 88 outside so we did use the AC for a while. Lunch was Chicken and shrimp salad. Afternoon snack was ice cream on a stick. Evening meal was the same chicken and shrimp salad. Next was news and game shows.

A warm day

Breakfast was raisin bran. At 8:00 am I ventured out to Albertson's to purchase some groceries as we needed milk and bananas. It seems that I get leg cramps if I don't have banana every day and we ran out of milk. I was able to park next to the shopping baskets. This is the first time I have been out on my own since March. Of course I had a mask on. Lunch was chicken, baked potato and brussels sprouts. We had ice cream cone for snack. This afternoon Marianna and John came over for a few hours as I had a letter from Bob Barr which I wanted to discuss with them. John also took a copy of it as he is going to reply to it also.

A warm day

It was 73 degrees inside and 66 degrees outside at 6:00 am so I opened the front door for a few hours to keep it cool in the house. This way we don't need to use the AC. Breakfast was cold cereal. Bible reading and computer stuff. Lunch was fish tacos and tomatoes. Afternoon snack was yogurt and blueberries. evening meal was pizza and tomatoes. Then it was news and game shows. We had popcorn while watching TV.

Wash day

My turn to do the washing. Then there was cold cereal for breakfast. I had very bad pain on my left leg. Lunch was left over from Alden's. Afternoon was Bible reading and prayer time. Snack time was peach pie which McKenna made. Evening meal was more left overs and squash and tomato from Alden's garden. Then it was news and game shows.

Second Birthday

Breakfast was cold cereal and 1/2 banana. We viewed three church services. Paige picked us up at 12:30 to go to Alden's to spend the afternoon for my Birthday. We had dinner then everyone rested for a while. Alden Gina Ethel and I played Hand and Foot. Later on six of us played Hand and Foot which was Gina, Hailey and Ethel against Paige, Alden and I . At about 9:30 Alden brought us home.

Weather up to 85

Breakfast was cold cereal with banana. Then it was bible reading and prayer time. I made fish tacos and tomatoes for lunch. I did some computer stuff. For afternoon snack it was Yogurt and blueberries. Evening meal was poached egg on toast and cherries. We watched Lawrence Welk show and the game shows.

Day after Birthday

What a great Birthday. First Alan called to SKYPE. Alden came to pick me up to go to Bali Hai for lunch with Gina, Hailey and Josh. That was a great lunch, to start it off was a Bloody Mary with lobster tacos, salad and a Birthday treat. The weather was great and a fantastic view. Then the afternoon was spent with a short nap and playing Hand and Foot. Alden and I were partners against Gina and Hailey well they whipped the daylights out of us. Then we played a few games of Rummy-Q. Paige came from work and she and Josh went to In-N-Out for our evening meal. Last Alden took me home. As far as today there was not much to talk about.

Great weather

Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. Bible reading and prayer time. Lunch was baked potato, squash, Brussels sprouts and spam. We played Hand and Foot and Ethel won again. Afternoon snack was yogurt. Evening meal was egg Benedict and two fig cookies.

Yesterday was a full day

Yesterday we went shopping at Wal-Mart and picked up Chich-fil-A for evening meal. After Alden went to the pool we had ice cream cones and we looked at many pictures on my computer. Today I spent time reading and putting together pictures from last year cruise and Washington tour.We had chicken pot pie for lunch. We played hand and foot, Ethel was the winner. We had left over for evening meal. Then there was news and game shows.

Hot day.

It almost made 90 today. Breakfast was cold cereal. This being Sunday we viewed three sermons on the TV. They were David Jeramiah, Robert Jefferies and JackGraham. They were all very good. Lunch was spaghetti and meat balls. Afternoon snack was yogurt. This afternoon I worked on making a folder of pictures of my 90th cruise Birthday. Evening meal was eggs Benedict.

Warmer

Breakfast was waffle with blueberries. Reading and prayer time. Lunch was spaghetti and meat balls. Afternoon snack was yogurt. Played hand and foot and Ethel was the winner. Evening meal was vegetable beef soup with crackers and Philadelphia cheese spread. Next was news and Larance Welk show then the game shows.

A slower day

Breakfast was oat meal with raisins. Morning spent reading. Lunch was left over chicken stew. Afternoon was a nap. Evening meal was peanut butter and jelly sandwich, cottage cheese and two cookies. Evening spent News and game shows.

Time with Alden, Gina & Josh

Breakfast was cream of wheat with 1/2 banana. Morning spent Bible reading and prayer time . Lunch was fish tacos. Alden, Gina and Josh came about 5:00 pm. We went to Denny's for evening meal, served outside because of California restrictions. We played hand and foot, Gina and I were the winners against Alden and Ethel. It was so nice to get together.

No AC today

This morning was cooler I open the front door to get the fresh morning air. Breakfast was corn flakes and banana. Bible reading and prayer time. For lunch I made chicken stew with potato, carrots, celery, onion and gravy. Checking 2019 cruise pictures. Yogurt was afternoon snack. We played hand and foot and I won 19,000 to 12,000. Evening meal was pizza and two cookies. Then it was news and game shows.

Today topped off at 89

For breakfast I made an scrambled eggs with vegetables and cheese. Morning was spent reading and prayer time. Lunch was fish tacos. Afternoon snack was ice cream sandwich. We played hand and foot and Ethel beat 10,000 to 2,000. What a game I had no good cards and she had all good cards. Evening meal was sweet potato, spinach and spam. New and game shows with popped corn.

Still hot

I started the washing at 6:30 am and yes it still is hot. Breakfast was raisin bran and banana. Ethel made dinner which was sweet potato, carrots and chicken strips.Afternoon snack was yogurt and blueberries.  Evening meal was green salad. Then there was news and game shows.

AC working

This morning we had oat meal with raisins and banana for breakfast. Reading the Decision magazine. We watched three church services. We delivered the green jello to Karol at 11:30 am. Lunch was chicken pot pie. Evening meal was a green salad and two cookies. I had to turn on the A.C. at about noon. The temp. went up to 95 outside and 78 inside.

Hot day

Breakfast was corn flakes with banana. I talked to Mary and Marianna and Marianna fell in the house she injured her feet again, Mary is just walking back and forth on her patio as she doesn't trust herself to walk down her sloped driveway. I made the green jello for Karol and will take it to her tomorrow. She just had a knee replacement. Lunch was chicken strips, baked potato and Brussels sprouts. Yogurt was the afternoon snack. Green salad was evening meal. We watched Lawrence Welk and game shows.

Time with Alden

 After my shower I opened the door to get the cool morning air in the inside was about 74 and outside in the 60's. Alden got here about 12:00 noon so unloaded the Costco things then Alden and I were off to Wal-Mart to shop. I had my mask on and I used the walker and Alden had the shopping cart to put the items in. We had to drive around for a while to find a parking. After shopping we went to Chick-fil-A and picked up our lunch to take home. After eating lunch we played Hand & Foot, Ethel was the winner. Next was ice cream cones. Then Alden went to the pool. Alden and I went to Denny's for evening meal, it was great eating outside as they are not allowed to serve inside. Alden left at 10:00 pm to go home.

Summer is here

I think summer is here but it is a dry heat and we don't need the AC. Breakfast was cold cereal. Morning spent reading, prayer time and computer things. Lunch was sweet potato, dressing gravy and a little piece of chicken. Alden left a message he will be coming Friday with my Costco things. Evening meal was grilled cheese and spam sandwich and two cookies. Working on Sudoku book from Alden.

Warm day

Breakfast was cream of wheat with raisins. Reading and prayer time. Lunch was fish tacos. Afternoon snack was ice cream on a stick. We played hand and foot and Ethel beat me by thousands. Evening meal was poached egg on toast.Then it was news and game shows. Still at home all day. I wanted to go to Wal-Mart with Alden this week but I might cancel as the Virus is getting worse.

Warmer this morning.

Even with cool nights the days get hot. Used the AC again today. Breakfast was cold cereal. Morning spent reading and mending things. Lunch was chicken, dressing, gravy potato,corn on cob. Afternoon snack was ice cream cone. We played hand and foot and Ethel was the winner. Evening meal was pizza and two cookies then news and game shows.

Cool 59 degrees

Yes when I got up at 6:00 am it was 59 outside and 72 inside but it went up to 95 outside today so I tried the AC and it works great. I made oat meal with raisins for breakfast. Bible reading and prayer time. Lunch was corn on the cob, potato, chicken, dressing with gravy. Afternoon snack was two cookies. Evening meal was chili and crackers. Next was news and game shows.

A Hot Day

Breakfast was cold cereal. We viewed several church services on the TV. Lunch was chicken, dressing, potato, gravy and Brussels sprouts and cookie for desert. Reading and games. Afternoon snack was a ice cream sandwich. Evening meal was cheese and lunch meat sandwich.

Weather up to 90

Breakfast was a maple bar. Morning spent reading,prayer time and doing home work on the computer, listing all US presidents with office dates and birth dates and misc inf. Lunch was fish tacos and a cookie. Afternoon snack was ice cream cone. Evening meal was corn on the cob and sweet potato. I viewed the Washington DC 4th of July program.

Getting warmer

Breakfast was a maple bar. Reading and prayer time. Lunch was egg and spam on toast. Afternoon was Hand and Foot and Ethel was the winner. Afternoon snack was strawberries and whipped cream. Evening meal was corn on the cob and two cookies. Watched the presidents speech at Mt Rushmore.

Time with Alden

Breakfast was cold cereal. Reading time and prayer time. We had pizza for lunch.  Alden arrived at 1:30 pm with the groceries. Alden did all the little jobs for us. At about 6:00 pm we went to Denny's for dinner. The first eating out for 3 1/2 months. We watched the game shows and Alden went to the spa. Then we visited and Alden left at 10:00 pm.

Temp. was up to 82

Evening meal was pizza and two cookies. Then it was News and wheel a fortune. Jeopardy had James again and he ended up with $130,000. He is so great.
