Rain again

Thia morning it was cloudy and this afternoon about 1:00 pm it started to rain. I picked up Mary to go to the club to play Hand and Foot and Marianna was already at the club then Rosalee came so there was five of us and Mariana had to leave after a few games. We got rain most of the afternoon and evening. I have been do some crocheting..

Shopping day

I slept better last night. We went to the Bank and Wal-Mart this morning. I purchased some yarn as I am doing some crocheting.. I came across a New Testament, Psalms & Proverbs which was presented to Alan in 1973.

Eye exam.

I had a very painful night. I was up in my chair two times for about 2 hours each time until I took a pain pill and had about three hours sleep this was mostly pain in my shoulder. This morning I took a pain pill at 9:30 am as I had a eye exam. at 10:00 am. With the exam it was discovered that I have Emacua Degeneration in my right eye. I will have to go to a specialist to check it out. Today I didn't feel the pain until about 8:00 pm tonight so I am taking a pain pill about 8:30 pm. The pain pill I am taking is Acetaminophen, My Doctor said I can take as many as 6 a day. I hope I sleep tonight.

Dr Rick

It's been two weeks since I saw Dr. Rick. I have been having pain in my shoulder so the Doctor had the session of vibrators on my right shoulder. After my treatment I went to the work out room to the tread mill and great they just installed two new tread mills. This afternoon we went to the club for Hand and Foot and there was just three of us. I viewed two pictures of Alan's family on their cruise in the Orient. Very nice pictures posted by James.

Bob's class

This morning we went to Church and the scripture was John 1:43 - 51 the goal is to See For Yourself  Study the scriptures and how it apples to ones self. Then we went to Bob's class the study was from James 1:1-4, when we face trials God is at work and understands. We went to IHOP for lunch. For dinner I fixed mixed vegatables, sweet potatoe and taquitos.

Wash day

This morning after breakfast I did the washing. We finished the chicken hot dish for lunch. Then I made date bars. Ethel is working in the yard. For dinner I made poached eggs on toast. Praying for our country and my family. Praying for Alan's family as they are on a cruise in the Orient.

A few things done

We went to ceramics this morning, I went to the work out room but there is only one workable tread mill which was in use. We went to make a vision care appointment, which will be Jan. 29, 2019. Then we went to the post office to purchase "For ever stamps" which are 50 cents each and will go up to 55 cents on Jan.25,2019. We had chicken hot dish for lunch. Today the Wi-Fi kept going down as I was trying to get the news that Trump reopened the partial government shutdown thru Feb. 15,2019.

I miss Lovely's blogs

Yes I do miss reading what is going on with the Alan's. I baked the chicken hot dish which I made yesterday. It was good for lunch.  We went to play cards and had potato salad and peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner.

A slow day

I got up latter this morning but I still did my Bible reading and devotions. I need to go to Wal-Mart and purchase more yarn to add on to the scarf which I crouched and I am trying to get other instructions for the next scarf which I will crochet. I made the chicken hot dish ready to bake tomorrow. And yes we did play Rummy-Q and I am finally getting to win, it has been a long time to be in the rut of not winning.

Great weather

This morning I got up at 5:30 am and had my devotions of reading the Bible and prayer. I went to the kitchen and cooked eggs and potatoes for potato salad. For breakfast I made oat meal with raisins, banana and coffee. For lunch I made mixed vegetables, potato salad, and chicken strips with cranberry. For afternoon snack it was yogurt with blueberries. For dinner chicken noodle soup

Alden's Birthday card

The mailman still hasn't picked up Alden's Birthday card so I will make sure it gets mailed. I called Alden but he didn't answer I guess busy for Birthday games etc. We went to ceramics and I went on the tread mill. We went to cards this afternoon, Patty and her husband came over to help Ethel to get started on her I-pad. I finished a scarf which I crocheted.

Today is Alden's 57 Birthday

I slept all night in my bed. After my shower I had my daily pills yogurt and Chinese coffee. We went to the 8:30 am service then we went to Bob's class which he finished up with Hebrews. We went to I-HOP and sheared a loganberry crape. I did reading and crocheting and I took a nap which felt good as I have not been sleeping very well for the past week from the pain in my shoulder.

Recliner again

I didn't take any pain pills and had intensive pain all night so I went to the recliner again. At about 9:00 am I took a pain pill and I had relief of the pain all day. Today was making meals, reading, praying, crocheting and we played Rummy-Q. I will take a pain pill tonight before I go to bed.

No Rain Today

Last night I ended up in my recliner again as I had shoulder pain and I could not sleep. This morning I made an appointment with the doctor and she said it seems like muscle pain and I should use warm heat on my shoulder and try to not use pain pills. The pain started while I was at Church last Sunday. I could not think of any thing which I did to cause this. Just now while writing this Blog I remember last Saturday I did the washing and I stretched real hard to take the clothes out of the washer so next time I will use the stool. I pray that I will sleep better tonight.

Some rain

Not a very good night I ended up in my chair for two hours so I finally took 2 Ibuprofen then I went back to the bed and I slept until 8:30 am which is very unusual for me to sleep that late. I have been trying to get along without the pain pills. As they say getting old is no fun. This afternoon it started to rain again. I picked up Mary and we went to the club for Hand and Foot. Marianna met us at the club. After playing cards we all went to Denny's for dinner. I had  chicken noodle soup, brocoli, mashed potatoes and fish. We arrived home at six o'clock in time for the news and our game shows.

Crocheting

It is time to shop we have no bananas for breakfast. But we are to have rain again tomorrow and I don't feel like shopping in the rain. We will go shopping Friday if no rain. I made spaghetti and meat balls for lunch and a omelet with many vegetables. I have been crocheting and reading most of the day.

Another relaxing day

Yes for breakfast I fixed oatmeal, raisins, one half banana and Lovely's coffee. Devotions of praying and reading and studying John 4 and 5. relaxing and doing some crocheting. Played Rummy-Q. We had very little rain today.

Sprinkle then rain

This morning I drooped off Ethel at the club for ceramics then I went for my treatment with Dr. Rick at 9:15 am when I went to the car it was already wet. The weather forecast was no rain for today. Then I went to the club to workout on the tread mill. We went to get our hair cut and back home with some rain. We called the ladies to inform them there will not be hand and foot today as every little while it was raining. I received a e-mail from Scott Peters that we will have to wait until three months before the time we would like the White House Tour, at that time they will give me a update.

Bob's first 2019 Class

I went to Church for the 8:30 am service and the message was on the Spirit of the Living God from Matthew 3. At 10:00 am we attended Bob's Class and the lesson was Hebrews 12. Subject accept discipline and maintain godly priorities.
We went to Soup Plantation for lunch.
I viewed  a program of Bob Jeffries which I had taped on the TV. This is the first time I have heard him, he is a pastor shown praying with President Trump.

Rain last night

Today is my turn to wash clothes. After checking the weather report for next week I decided I had better do the washing even it was wet out but the sun came out a little. I finished the wash at 11:00 am and it started to rain again. Goodie the wash was done. For lunch Ethel made a salmon hot dish, for dinner we ate left overs from Olive Garden. We played a couple games of Rummy-Q.

Time with Alden and Gina

This morning Alden and Gina came to spend some time with us. Gina helped to order tickets for the White House Tour. Alden checked under the hood of my car. Then we went to Soup plantation for lunch. We came home and Alden went for a nap in my room while Ethel, Gina and myself played Rummy-Q and Alden joined us after his nap. About 6:30 Alden went to In-n-out to purchase our dinner. We had a great time visiting and we need to do this more often. This is a copy of the tour request which was sent to our congressman Scott Peters.

Time with Marianna

We went to the club to play Hand and Foot. There was four of us, Mary and Ethel against Marianna and myself, we won. After cards we went to Olive Garden we had their great salad and bread and I had Lasagna. Marianna visited with us at my house. It was so great for us to get together again

Errands done today

This morning we went to Wal-Mart for a few items. Then we went to pick up the I-pad that Ethel bought. Her old one was completely full and she has not been able to use it for several weeks. I have been applying warm packs to my eye. Reading the Gospel John between times. Tonight I made hot chocolate with marshmallows

Feeling better

For breakfast I made oat-meal with raisins and one half a banana.and Mocca coffee from Taiwan. For lunch chicken strip, baked potato and  mixed veggies. For dinner three taquitos, mixed veggies, yogurt with blueberries. My eye is getting better and I slept quite well with out any pain medication.

Check with Dr. Cheon

Yes I had my pancake with blueberries for breakfast.For the last five days I have had a problem with my left eye which feels like sand in it and some pain with a slight black eye. I decided to go to the Dr. today it being Monday. My appointment was for 10:40 am and the five story parking lot was filled up to the top floor where I parked.
This is the story when we went shopping a week ago I reached for noodle soup mix on the top shelf  at Wal-Mart and a box fell down and hit me above my eye which caused the black eye, the other problem was I had a blockage of the oil ducts in my eye and caused me to have Chalazion so I had a large eye lid. The treatment for it is warm compress four times a day until the swelling goes down. We plaid Hand and Foot this afternoon.

Rain again

Last night we had quite a lot of rain.. We went to church then we went to Denny's I had my regular scrambled eggs 2 strips of bacon and 1 pancake as I brought home the second pancake for breakfast with blueberries for tomorrow. We had left over chicken and dumplings this evening.

Thank God for another day

For breakfast I made french toast. I did reading from the Decision and the Bible. Getting things together for income tax. For lunch I made chicken and dumplings. Dinner was macaroni and cheese and ham and hot chocolate with marshmallows. This afternoon we got some rain again.

Another cold night

This morning I went for a treatment with Dr. Rick and he informed me to schedule the next treatment in a week and a half. Then I went to the club to workout on the tread mill. I put away most of the Christmas decorations all except the manger scene. This afternoon I pulled the meet off the chicken bones ready for chicken and dumplings which I will make Saturday.

Thank God for another day

The grass was white this morning and the temperature was 33 degrees at 8:00 am. This afternoon we went to play Hand and Foot, there was four of us Rosealee, Mary, Ethel and myself. I made macaroni and cheese, carrots and chicken with sweet and sour sauce for dinner.

Time to go to Cost Co

Yes it has been a month since I put gas in my car and the Gage was below one half full. There was quite a line for gas but we got through by a few minutes before 10:00 am so we could do our Cost Co shopping. There is not much going on today except Rummy-Q and reading of the Decision magazine from Franklin Graham.

New Year 2019

This morning after breakfast we watched the Rose parade. I did some reading and checking things on the internet. We played Rummy-Q. The weather is from 45 to 60. There was no rain today.
