A Slow Day

Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. reading . Lunch was baked potato, carrots and chicken and fig cookies. Reading and computer stuff. Snack was yogurt. Evening meal was green salad with strawberries and nuts. Then news and game shows.

Another hot day

Yes it was over 90 today. Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. Had my walk with the walker and doing some things with the car. Lunch was fish tacos and fig cookies. Reading the Decision magazine. Snack was a ice cream cone. Evening meal was egg salad and cabbage salad. News and the presidential debate.

A Busy Day

 Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. Making telephone business calls. Went to the club to check on things in the ceramics. Found out that things are very different now so I don't want to be involved as I feel the age creeping up on me. Lunch was lasagna and fig cookies. Afternoon was Bible reading. Afternoon snack was yogurt. Evening meal was egg, pasta and vegetable salad. Next was news and there is no game shows.

Sunday

Breakfast was cold cereal. Alden came at 11:00 am and he and I took off to Wal Mart. We had lasagna for lunch. Ethel and I watched three church services while Alden took a nap. We played hand and foot I was the winner. Alden went to the pool while we made ham and cheese sandwiches and vegies. We ate before Alden came then he ate and we talked until about 9:00 pm when Alden left. This is the three pastors we viewed. David Jeremiah, Robert Jefferies and Jack Graham

A Great Day of Prayer

Breakfast was scrambled eggs with ham and toast. Then it was Bible reading time and entering notes on the computer. Lunch was chicken stew and two fig cookies. Afternoon was spent viewing the Prayer walk on the Washington Mall. Franklin Graham, daughter Sissy, and Mike Hucklbee were the leaders. Estimated attendance was 500,000 it was packed and this was not political, it was prayer for our country. I wish I could have been there. Then there was evening meal which was soup and crackers. Next was Lawrence Welk. Sure liked the picture of National Daughter Day.

Great weather

 Up at 6:00 am, i open the front door to get the fresh morning air. Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. I took my morning walk with my walker. I spent most of the day going through paperwork even some of dad's medical papers. Well I got rid of a lot. Ethel made lunch which was sweet potato, tomatoes and celery sticks. Bible reading and notes on computer. After noon snack was ice cream cone. Evening meal was pizza and 2 fig cookies. Then it was news and NO game shows. So we watched FOX NEWS.

Still hot

Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. Last night was my best sleep for many nights. I went to bed at 10:00 pm and right off to sleep and next I looked at the clock and it was 5:00 am that is about 7 hours with no pain. I did my walk with the walker. Then it was Bible reading time. Lunch was chicken hot dish which I made yesterday. Then Marianna called to come to visit and play hand and foot. she came at 2:00 and left at 4:45. We had ice cream cones while she was here. Evening meal was tomatoes, cabbage salad, ham and chips. Next was news and game shows.

Called DMV

This was a busy day. Breakfast was cold cereal. I called DMV to make a appointment for my driver test. I spent two hours on the phone and it ended up that I was asked how old I was and when I told her 91 she was shocked and she told me that Governor Newsom passed a law that anyone over 70 will get a extra year extension on their driver license. So I can drive until July 23 2021 and we will see what happens then.. Lunch was baked potato, squash, and ham. I called several friends to check in on them. Afternoon snack was a ice cream cone. Evening meal was pizza and dill pickle which Chad and Maria made. Then it was news and game shows.

Wash Day

I started the washing at 6:00 am it was just starting to get light. Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. I finished the washing and changed my bedding at 9:00 am. I did my Bible reading and prayer time. Lnnch was fish tacos with corn tortillas which didn't work well it was too dry. Every two hours I did exercise which Alden showed me.  Snack was yogurt and strawberries. Had a short nap and when I went to fix evening meal my back and leg were real painful, I could hardly stand. Then it was news and game shows then the pain was less. Pray, Pray.

 Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. My Bible study time and prayer time. 10:00 am viewed three sermons. Lunch was Sweet potato, crab salad, tomatoes and fig cookie. A afternoon nap. and yogurt was for snack. Evening meal was crab salad, tomatoes and chips and dip.

Time with Alden

 This morning breakfast was cold cereal. Then I did my walk with the walker and sit in the sun for a few minutes. Had my Bible reading. Lunch was spaghetti and chicken stew. Alden arrived about 1:00 pm, we played hand and foot, quite a game my first game was 150 Ethel and Alden had over 2,000 but I finished the top winner. Alden went to the pool to exercise. at 5:00 pm we went to Denny's for dinner. Watched Lawrence Welk. Alden went over some exercise with me as my left hip down to my knee is real painful. Alden left about 8:30 to go home. Gina is with her mom and dad for a few days. Pray for my health.

Another hot day

Breakfast was cold cereal. At 9:00 am we went to Albertsons and had our flu shot. Purchased milk, bananas, crab salad and cabbage. Lunch was spaghetti and meat balls. I spent time reading letters dated 1990 that I sent to dad and that dad sent to me while he was in Samoa for a couple months. I sorted out a lot of paperwork which I tossed. Afternoon snack was yogurt. Evening meal was chicken and cheese sandwich and some of the crab salad. When I say sandwich it is always one half sandwich. Then we had two fig cookies.

Today 95 the high

 Today the high was 95 and 80 inside, we did not use the AC but we used the fan. Breakfast was cold cereal. I did my Bible reading and notes. Also today I received a message from our pastor with a out line of the Bible from Genesis through Revelations, very interesting. For lunch I made spaghetti and meat balls I used the tomato sauce which Chad gave us. The fire did not effect Chad's property and he is working on a septic tank .He is such a hard worker. The snack was yogurt. Evening meal was poached egg on toast.

Hot but no AC

 This morning it was 58 outside and 71 inside but it went up to 96 outside and the AC did not come on as I have it set at 78. Breakfast was waffle with blueberries and whipped cream. Bible reading and computer stuff. Lunch was chicken stew. We played "hand and foot". I was the winner. Snack was yogurt. Evening meal was soup and crackers. Then it was news and game shows.

Hot Outside

It was 59 this morning and went up to 90 outside but inside went up to 78 and no AC. Breakfast was oatmeal with raisins and banana.  I took a walk with the walker. Yesterday they cut the grass and did not clean the grass from the car port so I cleaned the grass and leaves this morning. Then it was time for Bible study and prayer time. I made a pot of chicken stew with vegetables for lunch. the afternoon snack was yogurt and blueberries. Evening meal was peanut butter and jelly sandwich with cottage cheese and tomatoes.

This is Sunday

Breakfast was cold cereal and banana.  Bible reading and prayer time. We viewed David Jeremiah and Jack Graham. I had problems  getting Robert Jefferies, then at 3:00 pm I noticed that something was taping. Then I tried to view R. Jefferies again but Alden showed up to take us to his house so we will watch R. Jefferies some other time. Alden drove my car to their place so Josh could wash it. We played hand and foot until McKenna and Andrew came then we had dinner which Gina made. Aft er dinner we finished our game of hand and foot. Josh played his guitar for us and Alden brought us home.

A Great Day

 This morning breakfast was oat meal with raisins and banana. I went for a walk with the walker and swept the leaves that were under my car. Then it was bible reading and type notes on the computer. Lunch was potato, fish sticks and squash with two fig cookies. Afternoon snack was yogurt. Alden called and invited us to his place for Sunday afternoon. Not much on T.V. tonight.

Cool Morning again

 Yes it was cool this morning again but warmed up to the mid 80's. Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. Morning was spent reading. I can't believe it but there was hardly anything in our frig. until yesterday when Alden came with the groceries. We were almost two weeks with no groceries purchased and now we are loaded both the frig. and the pantry. It is so great for Alden to shop for us. Lunch was chicken strips, greens and sweet potato. Afternoon was a nap and some computer games. Evening meal was a peanut butter sandwich, tomatoes and chips and two fig cookies. It seems like the fig cookies keep us regular.

Cold Morning

Yes when I got up this morning it was 56 degrees outside. That is why I used the blanket last night. Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. Bible reading and prayer time. Lunch was 1/2 chicken fil-A and wafer fries. Afternoon snack was yogurt with blueberries. Then it was computer puzzles. Evening meal was left over from Miguel's Cocia. Then there was news but no game shows.

A Busy Day

 After my shower for breakfast which was raisin bran. Bible reading. Alden and Gina came so I had my grocery lists ready for alden to go to Wal-Mart, Cost-Co, get gas and pick up lunch at Chick-fil-A. Gina did the house cleaning. Then we had lunch and played 'hand and foot". Next was a nap and at 6:00 pm we went for dinner at Miguels Cocina in 4-S ranch, the Mexican restaurant where Alan took us with their friends and we ate in the patio. But we ate inside and it is beautiful. Alden and Gina went home about 7:30 pm.

Overcast most of the day

It did not get so hot today. Breakfast was oat meal with raisins. I ordered a thermometer on Aug 24 and I have not received it yet so I called and the reply was they are backlogged from so many orders but they are working on it. Bible reading and prayer time. Lunch was chicken hot dish, afternoon snack was yogurt. Evening meal was finish the chicken hot dish. The fire in east county is only 3% contained. I think the AC did not come on today.

Still Hot

This morning I got up  at 5:00 am to do the washing because I didn't want to do it when it was hot. For breakfast we had cold cereal. I finished the Decision magazine. For lunch I made a chicken hot dish. Afternoon was Bible reading. Snack time was yogurt. Evening meal was to finish the left overs. Then it was news and there is a large fire in the Alpine area south of highway 8 which is only 1 percent contained.

Day for Trump Boat show in S.D.

 Breakfast was waffle with blueberries and whipped cream. Watched three messages on the TV. I called Alden and I cancelled going to the bay to watch the Trump Boat Show it would be too hot. Well it turned out to be over 100 degrees in S.D. In fact right now in R.B. it is still 92 degrees at 7:00 pm. Will leave the AC on tonight again. Our lunch was chicken pot pie. Afternoon was spent Bible reading and prayer time.  Evening meal was potato salad and baked beans. Tom Hams Light House is in the background.

Hot need AC on

It is still 85 outside so we will leave the AC on all night. Guess I will have a high elect. bill, but I can't take the heat. Breakfast was cold cereal. I did my walk with the walker. I called Alden to forget me to go to the TRUMP BOAT SHOW for Sunday. Even in SD it will be over 100 degrees. May be we can watch it on the TV. Lunch was chicken strips, potato salad and baked beans. Afternoon snack was ice cream on a stick. The high today was 105 degrees outside. but we keep it at abut 79 inside. Evening meal was tomato, chips and dip and cucumber, and ham.

Still warm

Breakfast was cold cerial. I had my morning walk with the walker. I started to read the Decision magazine. Then there was prayer time for family, country and ill people. I went to my hair cutter lady for the first time since everything was closed. Her mother is in Korea taking care of her mother which has alzheimer's disease and she is so demanding that they are thinking of putting her in a home. Lunch was chicken strips, potato salad and tomatoes and a cookie which Chad gave us. No afternoon snack. A nap.  Evening meal was fried egg and ham on toast. Then it was news and game shows.

Getting warm

 Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. Had another walk for about a half hour. Met another lady out with her walker. There was reading and computer work and games. Lunch was fish sticks cabbage salad and potato. Marianna came over to play cards with us. Chad came and Ethel met with him in the patio as there was a party at his house and a person had the virus. He gave us some goodies from his garden and some canned items. Watched the news and game shows.

Breakfast was cold cereal and banana. It was still overcast so we used both walkers for thirty minutes. I did several phone calls with friends. Bible reading and computer notes. Lunch was left over chicken hot dish. Alden called and invited me to go with them Sunday to watch the Trump boat show and spend the day with them. Snack was a few pieces of chocolate bark. Evening meal was soup and chips. Next was news and game shows.

Out and About

 Breakfast was waffles with blueberries and whipped cream. We went to the 99 cent store and Joan's then we went to Denny's for lunch and as we were leaving Marianna and John walked in. Marianna wants to come to play cards some time this week. They said they watched both the DNC and RNC shows. Our evening meal was left over from Denny's. Then we watched the game shows.
